I had to refresh the page to get the CONTINUE READING link to pop up then was able to see the full article.
I’m not sure what you’re seeing.
You should have seen the DR France lip sync I saw.
Did I miss something - where is the review? No wonder it was graded a B; did you even watch the latter two thirds? Zero commentary on the actual roast, which was hilarious; even fumbles by Jaida, Monet and Trinity were forgivable because they kept an upbeat pace, demeanor and humor. Plus the editing was surprisingly…
Other than a weak lip sync (which I blame on that terrible song) this episode was great. It easily could have been Raja or Vivienne in the top 2 with Jinxx.
It’s almost like why roast Ronan Farrow when pretty much everyone else is such deliciously low hanging fruit, and the obvious jokes at Farrow’s expense are pretty tasteless.
Even I will concede that if there’s any AVClub writer that would be able to tap into the drama brewing on Canada’s Drag Race, it’s Trae.
I liked the way Jinkx handled it by asking “Is there anything off limits for anyone?”
Drag Race Marathon corner
I am enjoying the series, but it feels less urgent to watch since I don’t mind seeing spoilers with nobody going home.
I just had a chance to watch Drag Race France last night and you’re not kidding! Like the first sentence to hit some of the queens in judging was “it’s too basic” or “it’s too simple”. No leading with niceties, just straight for the jugular. Fair comments, sure, but total opposite to All Stars.
Just a note: personal bias should always be very present in reviews and the myth/oxymoron of "objective review" or "bias free" review should die already.
Who was thrilled to see an art reference outside of Pop Art? I was va’ Klimt!
I think Shea was saying “banjie”...not “vanjie".
I signed up to comment on this site for the 1st time after reading for 7 years just to agree.
There was a comedy challenge in DR France and it was much better than this one. Still, it's a pleasure to see these queens every week and those runways are out of this world
Lolita’s runway was STUNNING.
In other news, there’s a new Drag Race in the world: France.
The purple tight and sleeve on Jinkx’s look was referencing the single sleeve and the thigh high slit on Ru’s original look. It didn’t do it well, but that’s what she was going for
