I think the outfit critique must have come up before and not made the edit, because Michelle prefaces it with “you know what I’m going to say.”

I can tell that Deja doesn't have the money. Her outfits and wigs are always weak.

Another meh episode in a season that is needlessly drawn out and losing air because of it.

I love Moulin Rouge. And I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of RuPaul’s songs. But put into the context of Moulin Ru I actually enjoyed the songs, some for the first time.

I really enjoyed the way how they reworked Ru songs into the musical. Nobody gave a bad performance, but it was immediately clear that Bosco was a miscast. Painting her eyebrows in her usual Bosco style didn’t help her cause at all. After what had transpired during the casting session, this would have been an A grade

For a long while, I’ve taken an interest in the instances in which fan favor turns vehemently negative. I first started noticing it back with Ginger – where it seemed clear that negative reception to her workroom and confessional persona was impacting how viewers responded to her talent. An observation that I don’t

She’s consistently obtuse, but not particularly nasty, and her sour poutyface has become the fifteenth member of the cast!

Now playing

The comparison to Willam is strikingly incisive. I’ll readily grant that the comparison probably doesn’t account for what I’d envision is a deeper reservoir of insecurity on Daya’s part (perhaps, more in line with what we saw in S4 Phi Phi or S5 Roxxxy).

I thought Jasmine outdid Bosco on that last dance. I love Bosco and her talking heads but her whole thing just seems to be “I’m sexy and weird” but we really haven’t seen much of the weird.

I noticed that camera angle too (particularly because Lady Camden was giving easily the most expressive performance of the night).

This season would be exceptionally boring without Daya,

Daya insisting she’s ‘just saying what everyone is thinking’ is like an alcoholic buying everyone drinks at the bar so they can pretend everyone has a problem.

I even wonder how bad this Snatch Game was really. There have been other years when it was bad. AS3, everyone except for Ben Delacreme and (only sometimes) Shangela faceplanted. No one was good in s11. S4 was an actual nightmare. But RuPaul seemed to try to trip up the ones who had a chance of gaining their footing

Production has rewarded her with the exceptionally rare “complicated” edit in return: she’s not really a villain, and she’s certainly not a hero, but she’s getting an awful lot of screen time for someone who’s not going to win.

It sucks that Ru Paul loves lip syncs so much since this show has way too many of them. You don’t need to be good at lip singing to be a good queen the most important thing is to entertain.

There are other shots in this episode, and plenty others from that rightside quarter-view - generally in a wide-shot; it could arguably be a happenstance of luck. But I’m also not putting it past Bosco to have figured out some of those sightlines that the cameraman (hey, Sarge!) or directors rolled with.

Unsolicited, possibly digressive Random ‘pinions for your nerves:

The acrobatics and energy Jasmine showed through three consecutive Syncs should have gotten her through—how impressive! I mean one third of the way through the first song I would be sitting sideways on the stage drinking Vitamin water and trying to stop the stream of sweat off my face.

This episode just… didn’t seem to need to happen. Yes, Snatch Game was bad. But Daya Betty was correct: not everyone was disastrous, some would’ve been safe in other seasons. The final outcome could’ve happened last week.

That shot of Lady Camden’s face in the foreground with Bosco’s face in the background during their lip-synch is the best camera work that i’ve ever seen on Drag Race.
