What’s the overlap of people who can afford this car, want to buy this car and can actually drive this car to its potential?

Yep. That video is exactly what I think about every time another car like this is released.

I look forward to this car slowly making its way around tracks next year in HPDE novice run-groups.

Yes but does it still sound like one long, drawn-out, wet fart?

I had much the same problem with my SC. Stud wouldn’t go in the strut, so I ended up filing a little bevel to the top of the stud and slapping a bit of grease on it. It slipped right in after that.

No air-cooled 911 headers ever came off that easily.

There’s always a way to break a stuck bolt in an inconvenient spot, it’s just that it usually sucks to do it.

Yeah I’m trying to think of where this would improve things over existing protection methods and I’m struggling. I guess if you really want to have people working next to robots more but...better if you keep them apart.

There’s a start-up group right now that is going to be doing reproduction Mezger crank-cases with some improvements that is potentially partnering with Singer. I wonder if they’re thinking of using those for this purpose. Apparently nobody at all has made a new 3.6L air-cooled crank since Porsche stopped, so this is a

And those rally dampers’ name? Albert Einstein.

That’s not really the firing order, is it? That is going to bother the hell out of me.

All that orange intake does is disconnect the Helmholtz resonator (the connection for that is just in front of the orange tube on the intake box, it’s capped for this car). Doesn’t make it faster or anything it just changes the intake sound to be a little snarlier.

Oh shi.... patriarchy smashed!

That other racer who pulled up to the wreck, who was that? Because that guy was the winner that day in my book.

A felony? Really? Let’s be honest, most of us did things as or near as stupid when we were teenagers, the only difference is that we didn’t get caught.

How are there two camps about this, even if staged? One person parked badly, the other committed vandalism and hit and run. How does someone look at that and go “Ha! Got what he deserved!”

I agree with you, but I think that reasoning must be partly behind the decision at Ford. “C’mon guys, how many of these cars will really get tracked vs. how many will sit in traffic with an occasional burnout?”

Given how few GT owners track their cars, why increase the cost of the car with a supplemental trans cooler for track use?

So? At this point I can’t muster a single damn to give.

Fair point, it’s not a BMW so it may still need turn signals. The answer is probably not, or just a very little. The side markers are different, the white strips just in front of the wheels.
