System Sweeper is the first thing I throw at an infected computer. Great piece of software.

Sandwich method. Wrap a criticism inside two compliments. "You do X well, you need help with Y and you are great at Z." Also, avoid using the word "but". Use "and" instead as I did in my second sentence.

Spot on. If Sinking Feeling's review ended with the manager putting him on a PIP (Performance Improvement Plan), he's done. If he decides to fight through it, he needs to live and die every day by that PIP and meet its requirements to the very letter. And have the manager sign off on that every day, without fail. Once

How is that pressure? You've asked for something, only fair that I get something in return. Quid pro quo. If anything, you are pressuring the seller when you ask for something with no intent to follow through. If I immediately drop my price because you hesitate, I have just admitted that I was about to overcharge

As stated, only make concessions in return for something. If you're the seller, that could be "If I lower my price, will you sign on the dotted line right now?" If you're the buyer, it could be "If I sign off on that, will you throw in an extra ________ ?"

Harry Potter. That'll do it.
