That’s what they want you to think

My Porsche allegiance is becoming difficult to justify. The (likely) $30,000 base price differential means I can purchase a Corvette, with enough money leftover for a low mileage, two year old Toyota Tundra double cab.

Depends on your goals. Track day or grand touring?  I’ll take the one with the 500hp and the manual.

my wife’s stuck with me

I have a 2018 3.6R Touring and it fucking sucks.

In terms of ill-advised E-nanny unplugging, I would rank blindspot warning systems near the bottom of the worry list.

Now playing

Also, if you have a V8 Vantage, pull fuse 22.

On GM vehicles, one should disable airbags before track events, or driving on dirt roads, or going over speed bumps, or pothole infested roads.

I’M SO EXCITED I ALMOST SPILLED MY CRUNCHY GRANOLA ONTO MY WOOL SOCKS AND SANDALS WHERE MY LAB QUICKLY SCARFED IT DOWN.

I guess I better hurry up and get one before they appreciate. As the old saying goes, your Subaru goes up 20% in value the moment you drive it off the lot.

Wha?  This thing is 10x cooler, and at a fraction of the cost.  If you actually bought a Thomas Crown replica you’d never take it off-road; at $5.5k?  You can thrash this ‘Stang and not worry about getting dents and dings, or having to clean a fancy interior.

It’s posts like this that remind me there is a big gulf between the Jalopnik front page and Oppositelock. The former owner/builder of this creation posts on Oppo and I recognized it immediately... but judging by the comments I’m one of only like 3 people posting here that knew that.

The ad is deleted because the car actually sold a couple days before different car sites started sharing it.

In the world of automotive toys, $55oo isn’t much ask.  This is crazy enough I’d say it’s a fair price.  Fly your freak flag high, give zero fucks, and NP.

Hey, it’s vehicles like this that allow Toyota to license engine technology from other manufacturers to produce stylistically questionable versions of other manufacturers’ sports cars.

Wow, that’s.

When i saw the picture i thought you were going to say you joined the military

There’s a reason the E39 is talked about in hushed reverence among BMW aficionados. Well, except for M62 plastic chain guides..... there’s always a catch.

I just sold a 2001 E39 525i and literally every power option still worked just fine. That car was almost scary-reliable.
