The Tiburon wasn’t around way back then. You’d be correct if you mentioned the Hyundai Scoupe. The Avenger and Sebring weren’t around then either. Chrysler was still selling K cars back then. And The Maxda MX-3 was not a bad car, especially with the cool tiny 1.8 V6. Expensive for 130hp, yes, but not bad. The MX-3 GS

Nope: The closer you try to get the pickier people get.

When do we give Purdue Pharma an award for their continued support of the opioid crisis?

The last Trailblazer we got featured the only modern American DOHC I6. Too bad they stopped making the Atlas I6 and never offered it on the Colorado/Canyon, Silverado, or Express van

At this point, unless the decal clearly states that the person was their grandparent, I just assume it was heroin.

At this rate, every manufacturer is going to have crossovers in size xs, s, smallish, big-small, medium, medium-ish, small-medium, small-big, large-small, xl, xxl, xm, mx, 3x and Big Gulp. Seating between 4 and 100 passengers and all sporting old SUV or sports car names.

The only thing I associate the Trailblazer name with is all of the rusted out ones I see running around, most of which have a decal on the back that reads the name of some deceased person.

In loving memory of ______. Gone but not forgotten or Only the good die young.” Bonus points if the decal also has the silhouette

Putting the name aside its actually pretty nice looking. That said, I bet it like most GM crossovers will lose their value immediately. I recall last year visiting my parents and deciding to go look at trucks. They had several lightly used Buick Encores, fully loaded, for between 13-17k. I expect the same will happen

Sales is one thing, and they’re doing particularly well in the US. But the quality issues definitely need to be sorted.

A CVT Crosstrek isn’t what most people think of as full time AWD. It partially disengages the rear end, via a viscous clutch, when you’re not losing traction, and probably spends 95%+ of its life sending the majority of its power to the front wheels. I’m certain those fuel economy numbers come from that more fuel

or... you could just get an actual truck where you can physically select 2wd, and select 4wd high or low for situational need.

Yeah, don’t call it a comeback.... they’ve been here for years.

they’re reliable

Only if it’s in NFS Most Wanted spec.

Rear subframe mounts...this can be addressed in a number of ways and it rarely gets this bad unless it is ignored and constantly abused.

This is true, if not somewhat irrelevant.

What a magical looking thing...
