The Tahoe's and Yukons are superb highway vehicles. 23 mpg in a Denali with leather covering every surface, cooled seats, and a killer sound system? I know where my money is going

Well, if you want to be pedantic checking electrical connections *is* the way to find and subsequently solve electrical issues
That don't impress me much
In the escape? Or the focus? My mom's Escape is purely stop and go traffic for the morning and afternoon commute, my girlfriend has a lead foot and is also stuck in traffic more often than not. My parents use my dad's explorer for trips because it's more comfortable and we take my car for trips because I'm usually…
Those 4.6 3 valves are very stout. Throw a blower on it and make 450 at the wheels all day. And don't worry, the spark plug issue is a little over blown on the 4.6's. Public perception favors the Toyota but I see no reason this thing wouldn’t be as good a trucklet as the Tacoma
It really doesn’t make sense anymore. My mom’s Escape with the 2.0T gets 27 mpg average compared to my s/o’s focus that averages 30. There simply isn’t a big enough difference to make people give a shit.
As an owner of a Toureg I'd figure you'd know what suffering actually is. The Yota might be slow but it's not like golfs are loads of fun. Even the GTI's are pretty damn boring unless your commute is all hairpin turns and s-curves
Not to mention the Continental with suicide doors and a $50k markup sold out immediately, the new Aviator is so upscale it might as well be on its own platform and as you stated those Navigators don't stay on the lots that long. Lincoln may finally hit their stride
You should forget about the cheap reliable daily you can keep for 15 years and get a car you're gonna wanna dump after 5 because your dashboard looks like a Christmas tree
I mean, I get it but I think that's silly. It keeps you from driving almost anything fun. You don't want a WRX because you don't vape, you don't want an FRS/BRZ/86 because you don't wear a flat brimmed hat, can't have a Corvette because you aren't 58 with ED and a 28 year old girlfriend etc
Arent there stereotypes associated with every make? Based on your comment it sounds like you need an Audi.
Idk, my car is 14 years old with a glued on rearview and she's still holding on
Needs more brown
Thats why I added "when I was a kid". No one should consider a 94 Aerostar these days haha. They haven't held up well
Theyll probably take the place of 240sx's for the cheap drift car. Once they're on owner #4
During my engine rebuild course my instructor told me to drive the car the way I do normally. Change the oil at 600 miles, 1200 and you’re good to go. I put 7500 miles on the fresh motor and even had a sample of the second oil change evaluated.
I was fine, definitely sore. The driver hit his head pretty hard on the door glass
Thats fair, you have more experience and I can only speak to my own personal experiences. I guess when you mass produce vehicles there are bound to be some defective ones
Most 5.0s from ‘11 onward have had that tick, the 18's got composite oil pans so the noise is much more pronounced. As far as longevity is concerned who knows, some people have motors grenade at 50k some are still on the road.
Tell that to the 2013 Cruze I was in that got T-boned and none of the airbags went off.
