I’m a bit confused. Why would you have to take the head off? I drove a stock Mazda KL V6 to 200k miles and didn’t remove anything but a valve cover

When did they get bought out? 2010 XFR that’s been coming in to my shop with mysterious no start issues. We’ll get it to run then 2 months later the car will be back with a similar albeit completely different issue

I just buy old crap boxes that are liable to kill me. I don’t care for much of the newer stuff

Just toss in a 2JZ or LS or whatever will actually work. Enjoy your beautiful new project

On anything in the 80's fuel issues are usually pretty easy to sort out. I don’t think anyone would be buying this car expecting a peach anyway

Hey! I’ve only got 4 :(

Who says you can’t crawl going 5 mph a 6500 rpm? Gearing my friend

Every day. That was probably the hardest car to let go of

I always thought it was a half assed rehash of the BRAT. Get rid of the rear seats and make it a Subaru El Camino and I’d be so about it I might be biased though, given I’m a former BRAT owner

That sounds a lot like identity politics

I don’t get why everyone want to play identity politics nowadays, the guy is selling a truck, I doubt he’ll even bring up Trump.

Maybe if the money that was taken from me wasn’t spent on illegal wars and intervention in foreign nations we have no business being in I’d be more okay with a 32% tax rate. Until then the lack of reasonable discourse might make you the idiot

It’s not technically theft, but it is extortion. Stop paying your taxes at the federal level and see how long it takes for men with weapons to come to your house and put you in a cage

Oh trust me friend, I’m below the poverty line in America

Funny thing is, the fact that your government “helps” is probably why your insurance is expensive. I pay less than $120 a month for full coverage

I have a soft spot for small commuter cars. But try to put anyone over here in one of those with all the Suburbans and F-250's running around and you will feel wholly unsafe. The argument is only as invalid as you want it to be. I’ve been hit by someone with no insurance who hydroplaned due to bald tires. My insurance

I have a feeling this discussion is going to veer very quickly into socialism and wealth distribution

There’s actually a good argument against mandatory state inspections, especially when you’re not in the best financial standing. Yes, I understand the putting lives at risk argument, but when your only mode of transport is a beater that you can’t really afford to fix, inspections just become a financial burden you

Socialism is all the rage right now. Why take any personal responsibility when the feds can give you some “free” stuff, pat you on the back and tell you what a good comrade you are?

100% agree. A lot of effort went in to that build but as we all know you’ll never see a return on the money you spent
