Yeah, when they mentioned that the amulet was keeping Dalien Lama alive I thought I'd missed something but nope, it just came out of nowhere.

Alex screws up or does a good job based on what the writers need her to do. In a better written show the plot would flow from what the characters did instead of the other way around.

And do you have any idea of the difficulty of amending the Constitution? Two thirds of both houses of Congress or two thirds of state legislatures: https://www.archives.gov/federal-register/constitution And that's just to put it to a vote when it may not pass anyway. Unlikely.

My usual random thoughts:

Because the Second Amendment doesn't cover natural abilities.

Part of Greece.

They’re trying to point out that *most* aliens don’t pose a threat, which is much more nuanced approach than season 1, and a change I for one appreciate.

She’s playing dominance games. Forcing Alex to salute—and you’ll notice she didn’t say anything about saluting until after Alex disobeyed her—is her way of reminding Alex who’s boss.

Except he’s not doing anything “willingly,” he felt forced into it. He could either act or stand around doing nothing.

There were multiple negative posts. That was made clear. She was less concerned by the fact that there were trolls than by the number of trolls.

Related to the question of whether Lena knows, Kara was talking about using super speed just before Lena came around the corner. It's like the writers don't get the concept of a secret identity.

You asked the same thing about Nia’s dress last week and I’ll give you the same answer: It would pass the dress code at my daughter’s school. It’s what 20-something women are wearing these days, including at work.

“Get another suit of armor"? Winn made that armor for him and Winn is gone and he doesn't have another buddy with the resources to make new armor. Lena could do it but she doesn't want him being Guardian.

When our daughter was still in school the dress code specified that if a girl’s dress or skirt came to or below her fingertips when she had her arms down at her sides it was acceptable. Nia’s latest dress meets that criterion with a couple of inches to spare. Not saying it would fly in every office but it apparently do

How so?

My usual random thoughts:
- It’s been a while since we’ve seen the DEO desert base. Nice to know it hasn't been forgotten.
- “Coward in a mask” hit home.
- Is Alex actually demonstrating leadership?
- Supergirl doesn’t listen to Alex and gets in trouble. Is this role reversal?
- How are they explaining Kara’s absence

It was James on the motorcycle. That was fairly obvious.

- It’s not really certain what CatCo is any more.

AFAIK Psi is human.

Yeah, a reply of mine from yesterday is still “pending.” You’d think a discussion as sparse as this one would take all the input it could get. At least 80% of my comments in the Supergirl discussions never get past "pending." I don't know if anyone sees them or not.
