It was awfully convenient that the hit man was standing by to take out the guy from the coffee cart, wasn’t it? Why would Lillian have the guy killed who could tie Edge to the poisoned coffee? Edge didn’t have access to dissolving bullets but Lillian did. But why would Lillian poison Lena? To frame Edge? Did she

Yes, apparently Sam doesn’t remember. My guess is that her body was “testing” her powers at first. And I was waiting for the needle to break too, and really surprised when it didn’t. I was also very surprised when the tests came back normal.

Lyra is apparently gone to wherever Max Lord and Lucy Lane went. Hey, at least Max got a mention this time. Last season Jeremy Jordan said in an interview that it would come out that Winn still had feelings for Kara but it never happened. I’m still holding out hope for Winn and Agent Vasquez myself.

No, he shouldn’t have but she implied that she wasn’t responding to being disrespected but to being grabbed. If he had called her “Miss,” would she still have had an excuse to break his ribs?

He may have meant that the Harrison Wells, Cisco and Caitlin he knew didn’t exist on Earth 38. There’s actually no reason for a particular person to exist in a given reality, since chance plays a part.

Characters are only as clever as the writers want/need them to be. Given the awful writing on this show there’s even more variation than normal.

I don’t “love” it. It’s a dirty job but somebody has to do it. BTW, I also kid. ;-) Seriously, I simply remembered James using the shield to protect Lena. To me, that spells “Guardian.”

Hyper intelligent doesn’t mean all-knowing or not having an occasional blind spot. Brainiac 5 has a “12th level intellect” but last episode he found out Winn knew a few things he didn’t.

If he researched it as thoroughly as we’re supposed to think why didn’t Sam turn up? Also, “20 some years ago”? Sam said Ruby was born when she was about 16, and Ruby is 10 or 11 at most (since she’s still in grande school) so that puts her landing closer to 30 years ago.

Okay, I can buy that Sam can turn her invulnerability on and off, probably subconsciously, but how does she alter her body chemistry so that her blood work is normal?

She could easily have zipped past him at super speed and he would’ve been none the wiser. And there’d be no need to break his ribs.

Yes, that’s extremely inconsistent. Kara gets tough love and Sam gets “aw, there, there honey., mistakes happen.” Yet another example of bad writing.

I hope she doesn’t find out, at least about Kara, and I certainly hope she doesn’t turn evil.

Since the USA only covers about 2% of Earth’s surface that’s a good question. Another is why Sam didn’t turn up in Winn’s research.

Now that we’ve seen the suit it would be a shame not to use it again but that would probably mean Lena finding out about the Legion.

Yeah, “grabbing women” has a sexual inference but all he did was grab her arm. She could have easily used her super speed to zip past him or the line could have been “Don’t try to stand in a woman’s way.” He probably ended up with a couple of broken ribs for simply doing his job.

I’m invested too, for all James’ silly, macho posturing.

J’onn gets to decide because he’s the boss. Plus, he’s genuinely concerned for Kara, and understands her need for a secret identity.

I was surprised they didn’t reverse roles with Lena distracting the guy with her extremely inappropriate dress while Kara slipped past. For that matter, why not just use her super speed to zip past him? Then she could turn around, stick her tongue out, and say quietly for the audience’s benefit, “Don’t try to stand in

Except she isn’t always vulnerable when she’s Sam, which is why she stopped a bullet and didn’t get scalded by boiling water. Which creates its own set of problems.
