Just splendid. Only bowlcut boy Davis could screw up a sure thing that was the Raiders going to Vegas. As a (now former) chargers fan, it is nice to see the NFL’s shady machinations and city blackmailing schemes colossally backfire.

UNLV?

I’m amazed at how much Adelson looks like Al Davis- I mean Al Davis at this very moment.

I think UNLV football is a tenant as well, that’s what ‘justifies” the state’s contribution, but if it’s just UNLV, they can build a more modest stadium.

You know who can pony up the $650 million? The goddamn NFL!

Did I read that right? They no longer have a team lined up, but they’re planning to spend $800 million of tax payer money on a stadium anyway?

San Diego Raiders?

It says a lot when a guy who lost $100 million on Mitt Romney decides not to invest in you.

Dong physics has a lot of catching up to do.

Which, in fairness, is keeping with the spirit of the books.

rumour has it there was a circumcision option in the beta, but it was cut.

the slider above endowment says breast size so....

Double Dragon 1 & 2 were pretty good but the difficulty in 3 was off the charts. AVGN did a video for it and I agreed with every last bit of it. Thankfully he couldn’t beat the final boss, either. Not sure if I could even hurt her. Fuck, twenty five years later that game still pisses me off.

Wish it was proper looking sequel, like the arcade feel to it.

Since when was the NES version the definitive version of Double Dragon? The first image that springs to mind for me is always the original arcade version. I’d be more interested if this new game looked more like this.

I didn’t really play the game, but the irony of your story got a good laugh out of me. Pincushion, hahahaha.

#13 ...

I remember my first rival in the game. He was a guy that had a weakness to headshots. Every time he showed up I’d just shoot him in the head and the fight was over. He eventually got“Pincushion” added to his name after the 4th or 5th time he showed up.

When I played it, I got so caught up with the side-missions and all the Uruk stuff that I was pretty highly overleveled for the story missions. I did go back and play them, but they weren’t as difficult or compelling as they were probably supposed to be. But yeah, the story is interesting but not super compelling.
