It was in New Vegas, I recall.

I have a far better idea: Rousey needs to get some acting lessons, then become Hollywood’s first major female action star. I’m talking like old-school Schwarzeneggar style. Set her up with a Bourne-type franchise, and it could be box office gold (and awesome for her as well, without having to pathetically settle for

Don’t bother arguing with Americans about things like poverty and minimum wage. It’s like trying to fly by flapping your arms; gets you nowhere and just makes you exhausted and pissed off. The majority of Americans are deluded into thinking that one day, if they just work hard enough, they’ll be part of the 1%. Their

I never understood the helmet slap celebration. I played for 7 years and it doesn't feel good to get hit in the head, no matter what. A high-five or shoulder slap doesn't aggregate the headache you already have.

so ISIS has claimed responsibility and said this, “where the fool of France, François Hollande, was present.” My question is did they know they he was going to be there and that’s why they were trying to get into the stadium or did they find out after the fact and are taking advantage of the PR.

I usually like taking my ethical advice from “PhilMickelsonsManTits”.

“Meanwhile, Lin is having his best career season with the Hornets, leading the team in usage along with the second-highest PER.”

Trying living on $8.15 an hour for few years and come back to me. It’s always laughable when I hear my 6 figure colleagues talk about poverty with this rabid disdain...only if those idiots picked themselves up by their bootstraps...

Wrong. Everyone benefits from the workers making more money. Even the shareholders. This is why Henry Ford paid his workers double the prevailing wage... So he would have someone to sell his cars to.

Of course it cuts in to the company’s bottom line, but more workers with more money means larger customer base, and more sales. The trickle down theory doesn't work, but the reverse does.

We already have higher costs of living. It’s time—long past time, actually—for wages to catch up.

And not raising it is equal to cutting their pay every year.

What do shareholders want? Increased dividends and a rise in the stock price to the exclusion of all other considerations. What does Wall Street want? A rise in the price of stocks to the exclusion of all other considerations in order to sell more stock. Now we have a situation in which greed is the lubrication for

The bottom line needs to be moved so the workers make a little more and the owner a little less.

You’ve been drinking too much Wall Street cool aid. People who disagree with Wall Street style Capitalism are not all Marxists. People who follow a “branded” style of government are not vey bright.

You realize that labor is often a fraction of the price of goods, especially foreign made goods which won’t see a raise hike. Even in labor intensive items like a cheeseburger it’ll go up about 25%. Whereas someone making $8 an hour would see their wages double. So 100% increase in income... 25% increase in price= 75%

It’ll help for a while. The betrayal of the Capitalist promise is the real problem.

The poor shouldn’t bear the burden of economic disparity.

I can’t speak for America but in Canada, that’s the bottom line for people to acquire their basic needs. In Ontario, the minimum wage is $11.25. That’s about US$8.15.

Oh yes. My god. How ridiculous, that someone would want a minimum wage that will give them just *barely* enough money to live by.
