Come on guys that is an ugly ass car. Mercedes don’t really have a looker in their current range, except maybe a well sorted E-class with good spec. The German brands have really jumped the shark styling wise. Audi probably the best of a bad bunch.

I agree 10,000,000%. I look at the F10 and think it is exactly as you describe it, basically a bland ‘heap of shite’. Even in M sport guise it still looks bloated and cumbersome. My loins still yearn for an E60 M5/535d. Yes I said it. A 535 DIESEL.

What ages car designs so quickly nowadays is the overstyling, this shape is as clean as a whistle. Sell it new now, price it below the Corvette = profit.

An older car that could actually pass as a new model. The original Viper is one of the best designed cars of the modern era. There. I said it.

I went car shopping with a friend who was convinced he was going to buy a Volvo. He saw a Boxster for roughly the same price (about €10k, few years ago) and thought what the heck, and gave it a test drive. Within 30 seconds of driving it he was smitten. Since he’s owned it he’s replaced everything bar the engine, but…

It boggles the mind that Mazda struggle to sell cars that are more efficient, better specced, better handling and better looking than their competitors. Yet you will still have idiots splurging on unremarkable, platform sharing VWs and Audis...we’re willing to sacrifice so much for the sake of a badge/name/past…

Look at that crappy dash and center console. I get the feeling that people went into their local Jag dealership hell bent on buying one of these and then sat inside one and wondered if they mistakingly sat in a pre-gen Volvo.

You’ve got to wonder now that AM have got rid of their one very strong selling point, i.e. cars that are not overdesigned and quite elegant, how are they going to sell this monstrosity considering its switchgear is already dated and the engine offers no performance advantage over the competition?
