I had a black 4 door version of the model you have in that photo. It was the car I learnt to drive in and I have many a fond memory of its bomb proof engine and the eager 80-odd horsepower in its 1080kg body. 27/52/84/99...No tachometer in the dash so you had to find the max speed for each gear yourself!

The handling is the biggest difference. It plays like an arcade game compared to the Forza series.

I’ve always found the Forza Horizon games to be total crap. It’s like someone took what made the Forza series great and said f*ck it let’s make it as easy as possible and remove any sense of handling realism whatsoever.

There was some amount of hyperbole and BS deployed in the initial unveiling of this car and as it is AM, you can quickly come to the conclusion this will promise the world but deliver very little. Remember this is the same company who released the Vulcan only a short while ago and made a song and dance about its

There are tons of interesting “could have been” concept cars. Research the Nazca BMW or BMW M8 next!! There is one of the latter in the BMW museum in Munich, videos online show it to be a serious piece of kit.

If you dress like an idiot, cut your hair like an idiot, and make music for idiots, you’re damn well gonna modify your car like an idiot.

You’ve got to wonder how good the brakes are on this thing. The disc brakes must be miniscule. What are those, 15 inch alloys? To stop a 2.5 ton behemoth with 400hp?

Apparently he left something behind, made an awesome u-turn to go back and get it, then realised it was in the car the whole time.

The ultimate humble brag. Up there with the “I just got chocolate all over my Ferrari seat! FML” FB post.

What is it with idiotic drivers, German marques, and white paint? It is the absolute hallmark of arrogant tossertry.

Are you kidding me? This is an absolute steal. The last of the Teutonic Mercs, over engineered, powerful, incredibly reliable. Worth double this in 5 years easily.

A NA V-8 that produces peak power at 7,200rpm or a turbo lump that the majority of today’s cars have...and it’s a debate?!

What a car. And that 5 cylinder engine is still in use today. Eminently tunable and sounds fantastic.

Little to differentiate this from its competitors now. All car manufacturers seem to be consolidating into one generic 4 cylinder FI fwd saloon. I know it’s cheaper to produce and the majority won’t look beyond the badge so I predict it to be an overwhelming success.

They don’t really have an option after their owner sold cars fraudulently on a massive scale. Transparency is key, especially if VW gate is likely to go on and on.

The crazy thing is that VW diesels are considered sub par compared to BMW/Mercedes’ offerings in Europe so what the heck are these guys doing that allows them to extract so much extra HP and so much more economy out of their diesel engines? I mean, if Sharapova was cheating and wasn’t winning every tennis tournament

The rear looks like it’s been stuck on from a much smaller version of the same car. Apart from that it looks pretty good. Needs bigger rubber on the back too.

Seems like a lot of effort. Why not just get really drunk so you don’t feel like eating for the entire day after said heavy night? Easy on the wallet AND the washboard stomach #thankmelater

The most American thing I’ve ever seen.
