It’s almost as though the “saving babies” argument was always in bad faith, and now that more mothers and babies are dying because of conservo-GOP-insane policy, the discussion is focusing on eliminating birth control options as well.

He tried to pay the ticket. It was issued unfairly, as he wasn’t leaving the vehicle parked like that, but he tried to pay it. The town representative decided to shake him down even more.

That and it’s probably humid too.  If they were in Texas or Florida, you could expect the death rate from heat illness to go up, as the state government told greedy businesses that they no longer had to give water breaks to outdoor workers.

I was surprised to see “Austin” and “Colorado River” in the same headline as well.  I hadn’t realized that Austin had moved near the Navajo Reservation or to the Arizona/California border.

The scale at which the cloud seeding operates isn’t enough to cause nearly a foot of rain in a day, though. It’d be like blaming someone leaving their garden hose going for causing a massive flash flood down stream.

So, as an aside, if the rainfall was predicted, why were those planes engaged in the seeding?  Was the rainfall predicted to miss certain areas and these were hoped to extend that rainfall to those areas?

If I was an Iowa Democrat candidate or at least some kind of non-right-wing 3rd party, I’d be putting that little action up there with the abortion-denial horror stories as part of my campaigning against any GOP opponent.

So how does build quality get pushed so hard underwater? There’s an ocean of expertise out there for getting build quality fairly high, even if the “investor” class heads keep pushing for quality cuts via engineering gutting.

Exactly. I don’t know what the disease is that has equity vultures running through and showing everyone just how destructive capitalism can be in the hands of the short-sighted, but they could indeed be tons richer by having competent folks run their acquisitions in good order rather than break them down for parts.

That’s the one silver lining to the conservative “private equity” vultures breaking down a popular group of websites for cash.

Echoing that it isn’t “attack Lizzo” as much as it is anger for what allegedly looks like her taking what power she gained and turning it to torture those in her employ.

I just use the name for fun.  I put the GMG Union support in there after the “private equity” company that owns the Giz sites took away our images because their feelings were hurt from the GMG Union logos in the images.

But if I’m in the discussion dishonestly, then perfection as the enemy of good is my best friend.

I wonder if taking the massive earnings of an artist and buying a mid-sized business and using it as an example of how to reduce waste and carbon footprint while still being profitable, would be a better way to fight waste and carbon?
