Mercedes sold a lot of ML models over the years despite the original truck looking a bit like an Oompa-Loompa from certain angles.

Just gonna say, but why on god’s green earth would *anybody* connect to a wireless point named “%p%s%s%s%s%n” in the first place? I mean, seriously. If you connect to that, you almost deserve what you get.
You know, I could be down with a C4 or C5 ‘Vette. I already have a Boxster and I find the S2000 to be too small for my tastes. You can’t go wrong with a Miata, but other than modifying it for more poop, I’m not going to get the kind of experience I want like I will in the Porsche.
My reticence is driven by the feeling that this is the worst time in years to buy any used car. Also, there’s the whole divorce thing to consider, should I think about bringing home another stray.
I like my Miatas stock like the one in my garage. If you modify your car like this you’re doing it for yourself, not the next owner. All that bodywork added nothing to the car’s value. ND.
The problem is that you would be constantly having to talk to people who ask what it is. (Which is probably what someone who drives one of these wants.)
Kinja seems to be broken again so I guess you get my nested comment.
Never anything that appeared on my Lust List, but a droptop with a row-yer-own transmission in apparently decent shape at this price point is hard to resist. I wouldn’t be embarrassed to drive this. Nice Price.
This. Knock $1k or $1500 off the price and I’m on that like white on rice.
Finally a NPND challenge I feel qualified to judge! I’ve been eyeing the XJS as a project car for a few years, so I know generally what they’re worth. This one has higher mileage than the ones I’ve been looking at, and a higher price by about $1000 to $1500. It also has the lesser engine, though that may be a blessing…
This was simultaneously amazing and sickening. Well done!
Dad, we’ve talked about you not coming into this forum please...
Given the supposed tribal wisdom surrounding the V12 engine, I was thinking exactly the opposite haha
When you see me rolling up in this, you know what’s about to happen. I’m about to open the door, and saunter out in my baggy track suit wearing house shoes. I’m here to watch the local co-eds play some volleyball while I eat a concession stand corn dog.
Low mileage or not, those head gaskets are 9 years old. And the 2.5 NA motor is known for blowing head gaskets. Just looked at one last week, under 100k, overheating at idle and blowing coolant out of the (brand new) radiator as soon as you step on the gas.
As a longtime professional mechanic I would take the $21k…
Guy: I want reliability.
Don’t body shame the bridge!
I’ve been there, the drive-around for taller vehicles is one fucking block over. And as others have said, it’s a railway bridge, so lifting the bridge means regrading the rails for literally miles in both directions. It’s not that easy.
Do you also hate puppies and sunshine?
I can’t recall the details, but there’s a good reason why they can’t. It’s a rail bridge. I think the slope approaching it is already at the limit or something.
