I’ve snowboarding/sledding behind my mom’s 4Runner in the mid 90's. Other kids in the neighborhood did it too. We used to do it in college too, and most people said they were doing it since they were kids. I think it’s only become one of those “oh my gosh look what this guy did” things since people not from snowy

It was about 1.24 Yen/cent a couple years ago, if I recall correctly.

Now if only they’d get on this “shooting brake” nonsense they’ve been all about.

Yes, but how much downforce are they producing compared to this, and how fast do they need to be moving for it to be effective? Large and protruding aero works. Most of the exotic cars that have high downforce achieve it at least partially through active aero, which is how they avoid large wings.

I wonder what % of the battery going from 0-highway up an on ramp in 20 seconds would burn.

Johnny Cash tried this.

The truth is, the Corvette needs to remain a top performing vehicle to stay “Corvette.” That means, in this day and age, that it needs a variant with extreme aero and high power, so this is the result.

For long trips where I have a large checked bag, I actually bring a cardboard box. Bottles go int here and then I pack it tight with socks, shirts, or whatever. Everything else gets packed around that.

Maybe you and they have different definitions of the word “shitty.” Like you think “shitty” is 24" spinners and they think “shitty” is 15" steelies, so you’re both right.

That is just great.

Don’t forget putting four 35-37" tires on and leaving the spare stock because they didn’t budget for an upgraded tire carrier... or think through what they were doing for more than 7 seconds.

David Tracy is finally allowed to report on the new Wrangler! What a happy day!

I remember watching the wheel and tire roll away from my TJ Wrangler, cross the road, and finally fall over impressively far away. I guess wheels are pretty good at rolling. Luckily I was only doing about 20mph on a vacant road right by my house, so I could walk home to get my truck and floor jack.

Neither. I’ve defended other vehicles as well. This site has an insane obsession with knocking certain vehicles regardless of objective performance, and people love to jump on the band wagon whether they know anything about them or not.

I’m saying you’re a troll who hasn’t been in the car they’re criticizing.

“Putting in a throaty growl and showing it carving up a mountain pass is disingenuous unless there has been a huge phase shift in their design, though.”

The new model is a huge improvement over that, too.

The one being advertised now is a new car from the ground up with a new engine, so I’m really shocked that you’ve been in dozens of them over the past 2 months.

Nah. Then you mess up the belt line.

By the time the Civic has 3 rows and 8 seats, the CR-V’s main customer base will be school districts.
