As a Californian (and someone that only lives 45 minutes from this fire), it’s scary how numb I’ve become to news about wildfires.

I love the hoops the author jumps through to NOT mention that this is an AR-15 multi-tool, even though it has Ruger branding and a carbon scraper for the bolt. I bet this can be used to convert them to fully-semi-automatic.

What house guests?

The article was good until the plug, this should’ve been marked from the start as an Advertorial. Great idea that whiffed the landing - even just mentioning in the opening paragraph that there will be a plug later on would prevent that feeling of ‘being tricked’.

I enjoyed the article, until the plug. And when I realised the plug was f*cking long and more a sales-pitch than a simple plug...  I felt a little tricked into it.

It’s not an ad because they just asked?

So here’s a method that always work, except when it doesn’t... which reminds me of my game!

I have a sense that our new I-C overlords don’t particularly care if they tank this place. They already took Splinter out behind the building and gave it one behind the ear.

Oh cool, Connor Prairie! I grew up within 5 miles of that.

This post is a lazy cover for that advertisement though. Shame on Kotaku’s absentee editors for not rejecting this shit.

Not “open” as in “allowing escape from the maze boundaries” - think “clearing in the maze where a bridge begins/ends but is not directly linked to by any walls” - you may spend a significant amount of time in the area of the bridge, but if the solution to the maze requires crossing it you’d need to leave the wall you

Only mazes I’ve been in people have already Kool aid man'd their way out so getting out isn't tricky at all. Just follow the gaping holes in the wall.

Unless the bridge is anchored in an open area and unconnected to walls on at least one end, it’s still solvable by following the wall.

Looks like someone forgot to include the ‘sponsored post’ tag.

Basic maze navigation 101.

So are the shitty G/O Media masters now just bringing in freelancers on the promise that they can plug their shit for half a post as long as something goes up on the site?  How is this not marked as a fucking ad?

Is there a joke here that I’m not quite getting? Serious question.

They could outsource production to a country where workers’ rights are non-existent, and they just force people to live in dorms at the factory. Then it would be “home made”.
