This is one of the reasons why I drink highballs when out like this. Easy to switch from bourbon and coke to just coke without having to explain anything to anybody.

Not that you need to explain, or that it should be difficult to explain, just that it’s even easier to not have anyone notice at all.  I also often ask

I’ve always said we each live in our own little world. Perspective is everything.

To illustrate this, imagine the world that Jeff Bezos lives in. Imagine the world a starving kid in a third world country lives in. You and I live in different worlds, too. Perhaps not as vastly different as that of Jeff Bezos or a

There are many visual differences. All of the unfocused tabs are merged together with no dividers now. You can still kind of guess where the division is between those tabs, but there’s no divider. And the focused tab is no longer highlighted unless you use their new theme, which is dark and makes the favicons

Agreed.

I’ll add that when I was in grade school (decades ago), my English teachers touched on the lack of gender neutral pronouns in the English language. In fact, they covered the tendency to use he/his as the default in writing of contract language and documentation (including the USA’s founding documents) even when

I totally understand evolution of software, and perhaps some of these changes are necessary for some bigger changes, but I despise changing things for the sake of changing things. None of the changes that I see now are any sort of improvement from my perspective and they’ve only made it more difficult to stick with

That’s the one I got, too. Love it.

It might not be medically beneficial, but it sure feels good, and it absolutely makes some aches and pains go away.

Didn’t we just have this article?

It’s not reasonable to expect a company to donate to politicians that don’t support the company’s interests. It’s that simple.

Nope, it’s all generic lifehacker stuff. Bummer.

This won’t work for most apartment dwellers, but if you have a backyard, a cheap kiddie pool is a great treat for most pooches.  My lab would chase a ball for as long as you’d throw it, but would take a trip through the pool every now and then to cool off on hot days.  On really hot days, she’d lie down in the pool

Absolutely.  Now that they’re so cheap because all the Chinese companies are cranking them out, they’re worth ten times their cost, easily.

As Beth pointed out, though, it’s hard to use on areas that are hard to reach.  Also, these are most effective when you can use them on yourself to get just the right spot.  Neck

Mine came with various attachments so you can get a flat dull thud, a rounded soft thud, a flat blade type contact, or a point (not that they’re sharp, mind you).  They actually really change the type of massage it gives, and the blade, point, or two points are great for getting deep in a particular spot.

Indeed.

Anyone that expects a company to donate money to politicians that aren’t acting in the company’s interests has unreasonable expectations.

On another note, it’s almost impossible to support a politician that acts in all of my interests.  If we assume that a company really is in favor of LGBT rights, and also

My Skillet RSS feed is now filled with a bunch of other Lifehacker stuff. I already have a main Lifehacker RSS feed, so this clutter is quite undesirable.

Please ask them to fix this!

It’s definitely up to date (last updated May 16, 2021; no new updates), and that’s definitely not an option in my Alexa app. I have only the other 4 options you listed on the account settings screen.

Also, I have 5 of the devices that are supposed to be included in Sidewalk, so it’s not hidden due to lack of devices.

I’ve been keeping an eye out for my app to have the settings to disable Sidewalk, but it’s never been an option.

Anyone else having this issue?

Are the settings not supposed to show up now until Sidewalk rolls out?

I first saw pre-peeled, vacuum sealed garlic when I was living in Japan 30 years ago. Now I buy the big tub at Costco every month or so. I use so much garlic, it’s not even funny.

Side note:  I no longer have an irrational fear of vampires.

Yes, the entire premise of this “article” after the third paragraph is completely incorrect.

Truth.

I think I need to repot the ones I have in my windowsill.

Need to make it faster draining, too, I think.

The sexism is only part of it.

As the first paragraph of the article clearly points out, the problem is with using negative labels on impressionable children.
