Great article.  I’ve been reading about this in birdwatching groups and I’m glad to see this kind of mainstream advice.

Indeed!

Surely when you were single, you changed them after having a date spend the night?

Yep, or use a “puppy pad” for, uh, intimate activities that really get the juices flowing!

I’ve been reading a lot of the papers about biome transplants. Turns out we all have different gut biomes based on our diets. The critters living in the intestines of a 40 year old Japanese woman who eats a lot of fish and rice is going to be very different from the gut biome of a 20 year old American college student

And yet, it’s not written that way.  It’s written more as clickbait.  If it was meant to clearly only address the wellness scam issue, it could have clearly said just that.

You probably would have had the same or similar result with any sponge.  Looks like it didn’t need the abrasive element.

Totally agree that writing is going downhill fast. I just don’t understand why sites that pay people to write (as opposed to personal blogs) don’t have editors. Such a small price to pay for an enormous benefit. ESPECIALLY since society is becoming less and less tolerant of published social errors (call it cancel

Agreed that this is not journalism, but it is supposed to be professional writing. I mean, these people are making a living from it, right? While I assume they have an editor, I’m not sure that’s a fair assumption, based on all of the errors (grammar, judgement, whatevs) that are allowed. I’m just done clicking (and

While I do usually order lattes at cafes, I’m not as picky about the milk as I am the coffee.  Do either of these machines brew the coffee so that it even comes close to espresso?

No, men calling each other “bro” is a parody or insult. It’s not something that most men actually do.

And, again, I’m not offended or upset, I’m just tired of the unprofessional writing and the double standards exhibited by some writers here. I thought someone should call it out.

I just noticed the dates in the comments.  This horrible headline has been around since July of 2020!  They haven’t fixed it since last summer!

Gym bro?

It doesn’t offend me, but it’s not exactly professional writing. This seems to be a trend lately around here.

Would it be just as OK for you to write about regular women by referring to them as fashion vixens or beauty chicks if you were writing an article about clothing or makeup?

It’s amateur hour here.  So unprofessional.

Yep, this could have been a great article if the second paragraph had outlined the semantics issue and then gone on to focus on all of the issues that really exist.  Instead, it was written to just be click bait nonsense that helps nobody.

Vast majority outgrow?

Citation needed.

Not sure about this being theft, but the article there has some additional information:

Wow, never heard of it, nor have I ever experienced it.

Very interesting. I sometimes refer to my bathroom as my library, because I do so much reading in it, but I’ve never had that association (or urge) brought over into a bookstore or library.

Yeah, you can save a lot on energy costs by making sure your fridge and freezer are packed. If you don’t keep a lot in there, pack ‘em both with water bottles.

Sounds like I’m preaching to the choir, but for anyone that doesn’t know: Every time you open the door, 95ish% of the cold air whooshes right out into your

I’m totally missing this reference.
