Yep, this could have been a great article if the second paragraph had outlined the semantics issue and then gone on to focus on all of the issues that really exist.  Instead, it was written to just be click bait nonsense that helps nobody.

Vast majority outgrow?

Citation needed.

Not sure about this being theft, but the article there has some additional information:

Wow, never heard of it, nor have I ever experienced it.

Very interesting. I sometimes refer to my bathroom as my library, because I do so much reading in it, but I’ve never had that association (or urge) brought over into a bookstore or library.

Yeah, you can save a lot on energy costs by making sure your fridge and freezer are packed. If you don’t keep a lot in there, pack ‘em both with water bottles.

Sounds like I’m preaching to the choir, but for anyone that doesn’t know: Every time you open the door, 95ish% of the cold air whooshes right out into your

I’m totally missing this reference.

Lots of people do that and still have digestive issues.  Everyone is different.

Thermal mass is VERY important to keep a properly cold refrigerator (or freezer).

Why in the world would a dog be put down for defending his home?  What state is this?

Indeed. And train yourself while you’re at it.

No matter how much you train your dog, there will always be circumstances that can overcome that training and the dog will revert to instinct. You need to know what to do if/when that happens.

I think that the headline set the tone for the article, and it’s absolutely bullying. Read it again and I hope you’ll see it.

I’m absolutely introverted.  It’s hard work for me to socialize, and society is set up to reward extroverts.  Teachers and employers are just now starting to see the importance of recognizing

I’m jealous!

This is how I am.  I don’t understand wanting to get rid of the introvert/extrovert labels, as those neatly summarize the spectrum of socializing that people need/want.   Until these lockdowns happened, my entire life has been filled with privileged extroverts.  Finally, over the past year, introverts got some

You literally reiterated panthercougar’s point: that we should treat people with respect. That doesn’t mean we have to respect their beliefs.

There are people that honestly believe women should be stoned to death if they bring shame to their family. Should I respect that belief?

There are people that honestly believe

Your article only reinforces my point:  It’s about racist caricatures, not the color used to illustrate the characters skin.

What in the world makes you think this is about characters’ skin color?

Textra has all the good features.  Only other thing I would want is e2e encryption, but I don’t think that’s happening.  I only hope that Signal adopts that feature soon.

I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or serious here? Are you sincerely asking people not to express their love for mashed potatoes? Or are you looking for specific types of comments here? Or did I miss something and this is rehashing (pun not intended, but I like it!) some other ugly incident?

Never heard of that.  Grew up in the southwest and now in Dallas, but I’ve lived all over the country (and in different parts of the world).  While it sounds odd, it also sounds kinda good.   Let us know how it tastes!

This is the answer.

Since they’re not as good the next day, turn them into something else that IS good.

I like adding an egg and a handful of parm (and anything else you feel would be appropriate: onions, sun dried tomatoes, peppers, bacon, whatevs...), folding that in nicely, and then making potato pancakes.
