First time I watched it at the house, those scenes didn’t have the impact that they did in the theater. I generally don’t like people cheering, and clapping like this, but for what ever reason the experience of everyone around me reacting to what was going on brought it home.

Yep, that’s exactly why I go to the trouble of doing the Thursday night previews for these big event movies. Reacting with the audience is a big part of the fun — everyone else who is there is as psyched as I am, and the energy is crazy.

right? some films are meant to be a shared experience like this. comedies where the audience is filled with people laughing are some of the best movie going experiences i’ve had.

The audience excitement is part of the fun for me. I enjoyed being part of something that had emotional impact on the crowd. Toward the end when the portals opened and everyone came out, a guy in the theater stood up and yelled,"Wakanda forever!" and it was awesome.

Handing him his change in the Arby’s drive-thru window does not mean you know him.

Good actor makes unimportant and too personal announcement of personal hygenic mistake. Pop Culture website covers it as part of faux-ironic feature. Idiot clicks and makes not particularly smart comment. Earth continues to rotate on axis.

Good for Pete Davidson! It’s about time he stood up to people coming to see his shows! I, for one, will help him out by not going to them. Take that, audiences!

Thank you. I know editing is not a “thing” anymore but sweet baby Jesus the first sentence of the first article gets incorrectly the date that is the impetus of this article.

We probably could’ve used a bit of a definition of terms. By the loose standard that made Sgt. Pepper’s generally regarded as the first concept album, many, many contemporary ones would qualify. I’ll skip the many jazz/instrumental, electronica/ambient, and hip-hop albums I like that probably would. In the all-time,

Ziggy, for sure. My prog friends would be appalled at the lack of Operation: Mindcrime and 2112. And also: 40.

It’s the 40th anniversary of ‘The Wall.’ 2019 - 1979 = 40.

Nah, the paint shop is at capacity. It takes 2-4 years and $150 million to get a new paint shop.

Tesla already owns production lines with all the systems you’re claiming they’re avoiding. Your argument fails both the smell test and any application of Occam’s Razor.

The most unnerving thing about Janice is that for some reason I keep expecting her to be played by beloved character actress Margo Martindale.

Couldn’t disagree more. Janice was one of the best things about this season. But I also never understood people's distaste for Cannavale.

You guys lock in your top 100 shows of the decade already? This is playing out like one of the best seasons of TV period right now.

Shit, I still remember when Iron Man’s greatest enemy was BOOZ.

That’s true, but also way more nuanced than most Hollywood producers are going to get.

I’d say a lot of people are missing out, especially with the Green Lantern/Green Arrow run in the 1960's and 1970's that tackled a lot of what it meant to be a superhero. It tackled racism, the very first story featured a bunch of black kids attacking a man and Green Lantern “heroically” saving him (he was a slumlord

For comic book fans, the idea that superheroes might not be paragons of virtue hasn’t been novel since 1986, when Frank Miller’s scripts for The Dark Knight Returns deconstructed Batman and Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ Watchmen created a superhero universe populated by deeply flawed humans (powers notwithstanding).”
