Just some good old boys, never meaning no harm...

If Darth Vader can become a good guy in like two minutes, then yes.

I mean, once you’ve made forty or fifty shorts following those rules, you’ve pretty much run the gamut. Taking that scenario and doing something new with it could hypothetically be interesting.

Even though Jones broke most of those rules several times.

Since its 2018 and studios cant help themselves, I’m sure the first 45 minutes will be Wile E.’s backstory, of how he grew up a poor coyote with an over demanding father, and how we was bullied in school by packs of road runners , how he watched helplessly as his father was sucked into a tornado etc.

Here are Chuck Jones’s rules for Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner cartoons. I can’t imagine they’ll adhere to #4, but the creativity forced by those rules is what made the original shorts work.

Ansari’s problems were minor, but the impression I get from him is that he had absolutely no self-awareness about his misguided attitudes towards women, whereas Louis C.K.’s problems were (relatively) major, but he was aware of them and actively trying to work on them (albeit while still making mistakes and after it

The underlying reason doesn’t matter: an ad is an ad. I don’t want to see ads when I watch TV, which is why I’m happy to pay out of pocket for it. If they don’t give me an option to permanently disable those “oh but it’s just other Netflix stuff” ads, fuck ‘em, I can do without Netflix.

Okay, kooky half white girl.

That one wasn’t QUITE as bad as it’s typically reported; the guy had already lost his eye and Wahlberg simply knocked out his glass one. Of course, that really doesn’t make it much better.

That middle photo certainly catches the very essence of this fine actor.

Man. She’s fine. Just my kooky, white girl type.

He’s a great actor when he’s trying. See The Departed / Boogie Nights / I heart Huckabees / Three Kings.  He’s also very good in his comedy films like Ted and The Other Guys.  Guy’s talented, accept it.

Now playing

Semi-related- So after watching the Aubrey Plaza in a movie trailer, this popped up as a suggestion and I hadn’t seen it. Kinda cute fairly weird and entirely entertaining. It is a tad long though and I appreciated Colbert yelling to the off camera guy “you go to hell” towards the end.

It’s the same as cable was way back in the day — you paid for it so you didn’t have to watch commercials. We know how that all turned out.

Its almost as annoying as a website that has an autoplaying video ad with no clear way to turn it off.

Still, it could be worse. They could switch over to Kinja.

Ive actually turned off Netflix at times due to them. I've had them forever. Sometimes they just seem to add pressure to pick something, so I'll just turn that app off and go elsewhere.

“Scientists who recently discovered the health benefits of red wine and are looking for a way to condense it into a simple, easy to consume form. Yeah. It’s called a grape.”

The best joke is They should have called it ‘9 and a Half Seconds’”and then after a perfectly timed pause where everyone already gets the joke and is laughing, “...Because he premature ejaculates.”  Norm is the master of wringing extra laughs from the unnecessary explanation of a joke.
