Kinja talk!
OK. That made me laugh.

Reading the AV Club comment sections these days is like watching gloomy survivors of an apocalypse still wandering the once familiar, now empty and derelict places where they used to hang out, mechanically repeating old gestures that have lost all meaning.
They can’t even properly import comments from disqus. Do I really need all those notifications of old replies to my old comments? Do I need to lose my current notifications among them?
It seems like its porting over sluggishly, in waves. I’d hate to be one of the more prolific commenters that must be getting swamped with outdated notifications.
I do remember the spot.IT debacle, although I didn’t actually witness the demo - just the aftermath after it failed catastrophically. I went on record at one…
> From the lack of comments, it looks like Zack should have just taken the day off.
I still remember when this show aired its first two episodes, and I yelled to myself, My god this is going to be so good. Now I feel like I’ve been watching a high school production of Waiting for Godot (without the humor).
As rough as a lot of this season’s been, when the writers put some effort in they actually deliver: Setrakian and Eichorst’s final confrontation did not play out as I imagined and was better for it.
My echo dot sits right in front of the TV, so The Terror actually turned mine on when he said that joke! Alexa misheard it as a Modest Mouse request though, so it was rather poor advertising for a product I already own
The big difference between this and the Warbuton show may be that Edlund has 15 years of pretty extensive TV writing experience between them, and has gone from trying to adapt the comics to trying to make a really solid show he has complete control over.
I was hoping for a great Tick TV show. I wasn’t expecting a great Superhero Show. Take out all the parody and comedy and beautifully overwritten speeches, and you’ve still got a pretty compelling superhero story.
I thought I corrected it fast enough.
if it was only the comment section...
Considering how often TV pushes the message, “Your family may be abusive dickweeds but you have to love them anyway because that’s what convention dictates”, I think it’s really great that this episode comes out and says, “If your family makes you miserable you can and should cut them out of your life”. Families are…
After K-2 and I, Robot, Tudyk has become my go-to favorite robot voice.
Watch it, it’s funny as hell. If nothing else, Alan Tudyk as Dangerboat is amazing.
... and next week we find out that Zach is an avid Kinja fan.
Not since “Coral” wouldn’t stay on the fucking porch have I so actively rooted for the death of a child on television.
