I love Thompson, I wish he was in more stuff. His voice is amazing.

Oh, and actually go back and read the tread of our discussion. I think you’d find you engaged the conversation after my post. If you didn’t want to talk to people, you shouldn’t ask questions. :)

You don’t have to talk to me at all, yet you keep responding. You know this is a public discussion forum right? People respond to people’s comment to foster discussions. Maybe you weren’t aware.

Respect? You have me very confused and somewhat fascinated with this whole discussion. Your idea that I should have to somehow respect your choice of idols just because you say so is a strange life philosophy. I never claimed to be the “ruler of opinions”, I have my opinions and you have yours...we just disagree. You

Actually, I’m 44. I think if anyone is being a social justice warrior here it is you. You seem to want to ignore the facts and turned the discussion in to me just being “mean” because you seem to have no counter argument other than “he’s great”. You seem to confused debate with fight. I’ve got no personal stake here.

Troll? Ha! I present facts you don’t want to listen to and I’m a troll? If you comment on a discussion board, you should probably expect to get people who disagree with your position. Seems kinda of strange just to take all your toys and go home when you don’t like what you are hearing, but you do what you need to do.

I dunno, there could be a lot of merit in the idea of selling old 360 games to people with Windows 10 PCs. I don’t know that the emulator would be a huge issue, you’d spec it just like a PC game. I mean, people have to be responsible for knowing what they can run.

Sorry, you don’t get to say when the conversation is over. You can certainly cease replying, but I can’t let the last message go unanswered.

Size of the studio doesn’t matter. Levine and Spector worked at small studios during their careers as well. Every studio has budgets and deadlines. Molyneux has always had trouble sticking to budgets and to release schedules. They weren’t even part of Microsoft when Fable was made, but they had to take on investors to

The XB1 has lots of first party stuff, most of the same 3rd party stuff as PS4, and now has a growing library of 360 titles as well. Sounds like it has it all really. I think the backwards compatibility was a smart move on Microsoft’s part. Helps to bring the 360 fold to the Xbox One.

Halo Wars is supposed to be imminent I believe.

You could probably just emulate it on the PC now though, I mean, the Xbox One is running software emulation for it and it is an X86 platform. You’d have to write an emulator or get Microsoft to license theirs (I presume that would be able to get working on a PC). I would LOVE Microsoft to have 360 games playable on

Why is that not rebooted now!?! Where is my HD Collection!?

one might say you’d even save by not buying it Save on the humiliation, self-loathing, being seen as batshit insane....

Oh I have...long ago. I’m amazed other people haven’t caught on. :)

Please. He’s had his moments, but I think there are many MANY designers who have just as much talent and are also the face of their games. Levine, Miyamoto, and Spector just to name a few. Creativity is subjective; I’m certainly not a fan of Kojima’s work.

sure, he can be all that and still full of shit.

Sorry, Kinja crashed on saving while I was editing. I added more to my original post (see below). I reached the timeout for editing so I couldn’t go back and add. Sorry for the duplication, likely just lots of ranting anyhow. :)

Also, I simply can’t accept that we don’t know that piracy hurts media sales. Some people steal most if not all of their movies, music, video games, audiobooks, e-books...you name it, if it is digital they’ll steal it. If they suddenly lost that ability to steal it, do you think they would not now pay for some of it?

I don’t believe pirates telling people about there experience is advertising for games in any meaningful way . The general game media do more than enough advertising for games and legit users do just as much word of mouth advertising. I think the net loss from pirates telling the world about games would be negligible.
