You’re responding without actual knowledge. Watch the damn show, then come back, also, rewatch goodfellas”

“Queer theory doesn’t say “Casino is a romance,” it says “the relationships in Casino can be viewed through a queer lens to say ____________.”

Then why are you commenting on something you aren’t familiar with?”

Oh I *know* who Charles is, I've been reading io9 since 2008. The difference between then and now sure is something.

“Queer romance is a part of gangster movie tradition”

“Is Doug DeMuro Jay Leno’s illegitimateson? I swear he is related somehow. Theface, the mannerisms, and of course, the love of cars.”

Age of Ultron is a 6/10 movie for me. However, if Thor’s line at the end was changed from “Ultron, is this the best you can do?” to...

He's io9's most subtle under the radar troll. He genuinely enjoys being contrarian.

Exactly, jesus christ. Kurzman needs to keep his hack paws off of Star Trek.

Sure, but they didn’t tank. The Incredibles 2 just outgrossed Solo after 5 minutes in theater, and that’s my point. Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars movies are supposed to print money, and they almost always do.

I know anecdotal evidence doesn’t hold much weight, but still, these are people I saw every single Star Wars movie with since the Special Editions in the 90's. I’m sure the tanking of Solo was caused by whole combo of reasons, like you said, but my point/opinion is that people seem to underestimate the number of

“I know I’ll certainly be watching Episode IX on TV.”

“I respect that opinion. But also understand that there are more people who feel TLJ was orders of magnitude better than midichlorians. Sure, there may be “many” or “a lot” of people who didn’t like TLJ. Those people are fewer than the ones who did.”

Genuinely curious: Do you really think every person who dislikes TLJ is “a frothing mad white guy” angry over casting choices?

Lucas’ (extremely truncated) idea might sound lame, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the inherent quality of the Disney movies.

How are the Dame Edna’s to drive? And random question - do they have an aux jack?

I agree with the premise but would still buy this in a heartbeat:

Right?! Even their voice and intonation kind of sounds the same!

“May I interest you in a sense of perspective? It’s something vital that you seem to sorely lack.”

Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I love The Lost World. The scene with the truck going over the cliff was crazy awesome, and the raptors in the long grass were very creepy.
