What are you even talking about? Did you read my comment at all? I’ll just copy paste the relevant bit you clearly missed but somehow still felt the need to reply to.

“Smaller more agile ships are constantlyoutrunning Imperial ships in the OT”

“Except for the fact that it is a good movie. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it a bad film. I could point to many technical and story aspects that make it a great film.”

“The fans who can’t handle this wouldn’t have liked him just dropping his sacred toy one bit more.”

You are of course absolutely right.

“But what you did instead was make up your own movie and get upset that Johnson didn’t direct that one.”

Obvious troll is obvious. Whatever floats your boat, I suppose.

“We’re all over here enjoying it immensely”

I’m on a sci fi website. This is the *perfect* place to have arguments like this.

“If you don’t like it, you’re being shown the door.”

“It would have been shitty drama for Rey/Chewie to literally describe what happened and then watch Luke absorb the news and tear up. That’s heavy-handed and poor storytelling.”

This is your first comment that I thought was fair as well, so we’re both making progress, I suppose. Hooray!

“Fact”: they shot a lot more, but cut it, which was a mindblowingly terrible decision because people objectively speaking care more for Han Solo and Luke Skywalker than about brand new characters they met 20 minutes ago.

Got it, everyone who disagrees with you is talking BS. Thanks for clearing that up.

It’s your statement that’s total BS. What Johnson showed was vastly insufficient considering Luke and Han are two of the most iconic movie characters of all time. Two of the most important pop culture characters, really. On top of that, there are dozens upon dozens of reasons why TLJ is not just a bad Star Wars film,

““Ah yes, the most boring kind of movie complaint: “This movie sucks because the director didn’t film the fan script I wrote in my imagination.””

“Luke going into the cockpit of the falcon and then later literally hanging his head sitting at the chessboard is Luke mourning Han.”

J.J. bungled a lot of stuff as well, no doubt.

“I think he made the very clear decision that these films where NOT about any of the old characters.”

“Leia walk right past Chewbacca after Han’s death so she could comfort the girl that she had never met before.”
