Two thoughts ...

“Wanton” seems like a really poor word choice on the part of Eramo’s lawyer. I know it has a value-neutral definition, but I doubt that’s what most people think of when they hear the word.

The sad thing is that Erdely wrote some truly great stories for Rolling Stone. “The Rape of Petty Officer Blumer” and “One Town’s War on Gay Teens” were particularly powerful. I really hope those aren’t morally compromised too.
