Totally. I’m on the retin-a train these days but I’m sadly late to the party. I should have started this ten years ago to avoid some of the damage really setting in.

I can’t tell you how many times (as a teen before I knew better) I caked concealer on top of an open zit, basically guaranteeing myself an infection and scar. I’m paying the price for it now as those past mistakes return as divots on my aging skin.

Thank you for saying this, I got to that part and had to side eye everything that followed that advice because that’s a pretty huge no no according to literally every dermatologist and skin care expert I’ve ever talked to. (And there have been many, nearly 30 straight years of acne over here)
