I bet youre scared of DDDDEEEEEEAAAAATTTTTTHHHHHHH

The people of Cambodia, half the population of Northern Ireland and everywhere north of Manchester would probably disagree with you.

I've just learned that Bandicoots are a real animal.. thanks for making me look like an idiot Medacris

To paraphrase Frankie Boyle:

Are you suggesting we castrate our political representatives?

"Yeah, but implicitly saying you won't vote for someone strictly because he's a straight white man is…I dunno."

When I seize power I will rename it "Yelp Heavy Manufacturing Concern" forthwith

This has actually made me impressed that the movie (as much of a disaster as it was) even had a (barely) coherent story considering that there was 1 screenwriter for every 2.45 minutes of screentime.

Not just men, an abusive partner,or friend, or relative in general gaslight. Hell, where I used to work (chugger) we were encouraged to do what I would define as gaslighting as a sales tactic (I left before we finished training)

I AM NA-BIN. AS OVERLORD ALL WILL KNEEL TREMBLING BEFORE ME AND OBEY MY BRUTAL COMMAND. END COMMUNICATION

Breaking news, the Internet has learned English..we'll stay with this story all night if we have to..

That is insane, I never thought I'd be arguing for personal responsibility from the people who are ostensibly the one's most keen to encourage it, but it obviously had a loose definition in the Reagan Era..

Well Battlecar has to pay the bills somehow!

I really like 2001 but I don't think it's the greatest sci-fi movie of all time (since Blade Runner exists), and I wish it devoted more time to HAL, because that's without doubt the best part of the film. I thought it tried to deal with too many themes (religion, exploration, the afterlife, AI) and was less of a movie

Yeah and we did get a payoff thats completely open to interpretation and in my opinion worked much better then merely showing us Carcosa. Along with that it was subtle, like with the birds flying in a spiral (maybe) and the drawings in the school. Thats what made it great, it didnt show us the monster, but it left it

Why in America is the drinking age a federal thing even though actual laws governing the sale of alcohol left to the states? Could an individual state lower the drinking age?

That would be far too logical for the Republic of Texas

I genuinely enjoy watching things that were panned to see where they went wrong and don't criticize things I've never seen, saying that Grown Ups was awful and Jack and Jill was a war crime.

"This town has resisted Pelicans for 18 months. But food is running low."

"After all the allusions to The King In Yellow and the Carcosa mythos, many viewers were disappointed that the first season of True Detective didn’t pay off in a supernatural event or explanation. It’s fitting, then, that season two is proving to be a ghost story—a ghost story with no supernatural elements."
