Happened to someone I know who bought a big block crewcab Dodge truck. The Dana 60 piled up. the 400/727 kept turning.
I hate them so much I might send it to the crusher.
Of course he was coming right away, with cash. Now I have two halves of a truck, and all kinds of dummies.

It drove until it broke in half in it’s old age. (safely in garage, haven not made any rash decisions) The truck did not die where she fell, I drove it home, could probably drive it until it actually breaks in half, but it’s life as a reasonably safe vehicle to drive is done.
One of the last of her kind, 33 years in the family, customised out of necessity, driven in half. Never had a chassis noise until last night. did not pass stress test. Runs like a top. What we have here is apparently the first wheel-lift, as installed on the last (68) Mercury M-350. and it’s purple. There cannot be many of these hiding out there.
