There's a good chance the iPhone 5 won't be released till the fall. In that case, I think it makes perfect sense if you're contract is up, and your old phone is a dumb phone or a brick, and you don't want to wait till fall to get a good phone.

Not exactly a battery meter, but I've been using Juice Defender recently in its default settings, and I've been noticing quite a bit of a battery life improvement on my Thunderbolt. I think the app simply syncs everything every so often, and then kills all data connection, waking up the data again after a stipulated

"The White House recently released an app for Android (to please both platforms!)"

I was thinking the same thing! Oh, and that episode is, hands down, my favorite episode. The scene with Lois choking. And black Jesus...

Actually, that really depends on the bike. My roommate's road bike is really old and the handle stays straight while riding if you leave it there. If I try the same thing on my newer bike, the handle wobbles waaay too easily. I think it has to do with how well oiled my handlebars are where they connect with the frame

I completely agree with those who've complained about not being able to use your phone as a video camera when you're outdoors, at an event, etc. because of wanting to save phone battery, or not everyone having smartphones.

Man that sucks. When the kinect was launched, I was allowed to get it a day early :/

I don't know if this is just me, if the new layout makes it appear more so, or if its actually true, but it seems like Gizmodo is posting a lot more 2-3 sentence long articles that are merely link redirects.

two families, not to families...

Seriously, just because you guys have a new improved format that focuses the main page on bigger articles does not mean you guys should start publishing articles like this...

Awesome, awesome video.

Yeah, there are waay too many cops in downtown PA on Friday/Saturday evening, I do all I can to avoid driving... Do you still work in the area?

Chrome with adblock does the same. Not only does it remove ads, but it collapses the region where the ad was supposed to be. Thus, you never know there was an ad there in the first place

lol, I moved to the corner of University Ave and Middlefield a few months ago, so I definitely know which one you're talking about.

Yup. When Apple was dying in the 2000s, they bought a large chunk of non-voting shares to keep them afloat. The logic was with Apple dead, Microsoft would face anti-trust and get broken up.

Yeah. Take that.

Yeah. Take that.

Attached is a real watch.

how do I heart this in the new layout?

This guy's math seems to be off. Increasing speed by 20% and then decreasing it by 20% will lead to a slower clock! (0.8*1.2 is not 1!)
