“Always grateful for Kara/potstickers scenes, but where has our Danvers Sisters Bonding Time gone?”
“Always grateful for Kara/potstickers scenes, but where has our Danvers Sisters Bonding Time gone?”
Couple of points. I pretty distinctly remember them mentioning Argo City post Crisis, so yeah Kara wished her mom back into existence when they remade the universe. Also, yeah, Andrea still is...uh...Google tells me Acrata, but they changed up her story coming out of Crisis in ways I cannot be bothered to remember.…
“Why Toni Topaz would want to keep the identity of her baby’s daddy under wraps is a mystery”
Toni will get focus cause Ras doesn’t wanna get called out again for screwing over their actors of color. Who knows if it’ll translate to Reggie/Fangs, or if it’ll even stick long term.
Somehow I am picturing the psych professor curled up in a ball, rocking back and forth, muttering repeatedly “tenure isn’t worth this”
Alex is too good to be Guardian.
It’s not just about the fact that Kara didn’t tell Lena the secret. It’s mostly that due to Kara’s actions over the past couple of years Lena believes their whole friendship was a lie. That’s the betrayal she’s referring to. Kara had treated Lena like a villain while she was Supergirl, then turned around and was…
That’s actually kind of my issue with this. The writers themselves never came up with a firm reason and made it clear in the show. So everyone’s left to head-canon their own interpretation.
Everybody but her DID know. There were people from alternate universes and planets who knew well before she did.
1. Those aren’t the same thing. A better parallel would be if Kara was secretly a celebrity sort of like Hannah Montana.
I disagree that Lena’s motivations are difficult to understand. I thought they were laid out pretty clearly in the episode where Lena came clean in the Fortress of Solitude. They’ve been friends for years. Lena has had close dealings not only with Kara, but also with Supergirl. Repeatedly! Kara has had plenty of…
but she was not entitled to that information at any point.
Watchable
Why was the Ezra Miller Flash here other than Warner Bros apparently saying “Fuck it” and letting them acknowledge it. It was so random and in the end it meant nothing.
It’s still annoying that they divide these crossover episodes among the various shows, when they should probably presented as standalone miniseries or TV movie like those old-school movies that networks would make bringing together a lot of the stars of their different shows. It would certainly make presenting the…
If Regina Mills can get forgiven and end up co-parenting a child with the protagonist and dancing at her wedding after murdering thousands of innocent people in multiple incidents over the course of decades, then Lena can come back from this.
I wish Lena would also bring up the stuff from season 3 when Supergirl was suspicious of Lena. How is Lena supposed to believe the friendship is real when Kara acts like best friends with Lena while Supergirl treats Lena with suspicion and distrust? I’d think Kara was faking the whole thing too. But it was so sad when…
To be fair, this seems to be the writer’s fault. As this review says, Supergirl seems to think “romantic drama” when it comes to Kara is a guy being kind of a jerk, she “reforms him” or she is always right, then he becomes a “good guy” who then falls all over her is story gold, as this is the second time they did it.…
We used to wonder if Director Danvers was a little premature and now we’ve got Pulitzer Kara and maybe Senator James.
