This podcast was really great, and perfectly timed for me. Thank you!

His post 9/11 pivot to pro-Bush doctrine conservatism really threw me for a loop back in the day. There may have been signs of it before but it wasn’t really evident in his comedy; I certainly would have pegged him as a liberal or at least a centrist. But he jumped on that right-leaning ideology train and I wrote him

When I saw this trending on Twitter yesterday I watched a short clip from the full video; I thought this was an elaborate meta-joke. Like, this guy cannot possibly be serious? I mean, no one is this much of a clueless tool, right? Right??

You would think, after all of these racist/prejudiced incidents and with money and prestige on the line, that a team’s management would host a workshop or training session or something to teach these kids what’s appropriate. Because I think in most cases they’re truly ignorant of the effects of their words and

I was there this weekend and I was fascinated by the “photographer’s grotto” area or whatever you want to call it; a little garden area full of palm trees where about 20 or so photogs were staked out with lights and gear. It’s where a lot of these shots were taken, as groups of cosplayers came through and posed.

Yeah, just don’t.

I will go on record and say that the Watchmen scene is only terrible because of the music choice. They’re both really sexy and the idea that two spandex heroes would get super turned on from saving the world one last time is the kind of subversive tone that the graphic novel had (not to mention the triumph of poor

Uh, have you been paying attention this past week? The middle ground appears to be thinner than a pencil.

Also in the 100% agreed column. This is a major dealbreaker for relationships, and anyone who goes into a serious commitment thinking that they will change their partner’s mind down the road is delusional. I applaud these people though for being completely upfront about it and willing to set a deadline for the

I didn’t invent anything, it’s pretty plain what’s going on here. But really, why are you so angry? Or do you just like unloading f-bombs with the keyboard because you have no agency IRL?

God, we love that movie. We show it during movie parties and everyone loses their minds hate watching it. It’s so insanely low rent it’s almost painful.

See, all this hostility? And the concern over the amount of time they’ll spend on him “being gay”?

To be clear, this article didn’t ask to make anyone gay or straight either. JK Rowling claimed that Dumbledore was gay 10 years ago. It just wasn’t confirmed in any of the films, and she and a lot of fans want to see it at least acknowledged in the next film. That’s all, just acknowledged.

Such witty repartee! So succinct and quick to the point, like a fine shot of liquor that lingers just enough on the tongue to impart flavor yet never overstays it’s welcome. To you sir:

What did you ask for?

LOL, OKAY:

So to be clear, you want no romance at all. No relationships. No love. No hint whatsoever that these characters are supposed to be human with real human feelings. IS that what you’re saying?

I’m surprised you didn’t finish that screed with, “oh, and some of my best friends are gay too!”

I think those emotions are totally fair, and that type of projection is not uncommon. Good on you for recognizing it for what it is. And I’m sorry about whatever you went through.

How long do you fucking think it takes to read and type?
