Isn't that gun similar to the one Togusa carries in Ghost in the Shell?

People in that show have wired brains and they can be hacked like computers, but that's where any similarity ends. There's no global epidemic that affects billions of jacked-in users.
I think viruses and malware in our tech are inevitable, and hackers go hand in hand with new devices and software. Hopefully by the time we get to wearable/injectable computers, companies will be more proactive about protecting their products from them as the stakes will much higher.
That wardrobe test photo....OMFG.
A shuttle astronaut actually had a small hole in his glove during an EVA; contrary to what this scene would have you believe, his skin plugged the hole and all he had to show for it later was a blister.
Exactly.
I personally felt that audiences could handle a Spiderman 4 with a new cast and creative team. We've all grown up with the idea that James Bond gets recast every few years when the last one gets too old or needs to move on, and Doctor Who actually welcomes the frenzy and speculation that surrounds every new Doctor.…
Well success, in a monetary sense, didn't happen with 'Watchmen' or 'Sucker Punch' and I was shocked that they gave him the keys to Superman (but that deal was probably inked a while ago). I think that will be a key test for him, to prove whether he has what it takes to pull off a big-budget genre tentpole.
DARK KNIGHT RETURNS+Zack Snyder = please god, no.
I agree that any sequel should shed some light on those things and possibly link to ALIEN. But...(and I'm not trying to be argumentative here) I really dislike the idea that a movie needs a sequel in order to explain the things that didn't make sense the first time around. Intriguing mysteries are one thing, but…
I just don't think they made it clear enough as to what the black goo does. Or even whether it was the same substance the sacrificial Engineer drank at the beginning.
Does it come with a tiny robot tank that talks in a high-pitched child's voice?
I just want those sunglasses.
Just starting playing Deus Ex: HR; I really appreciate the subplot about the side effects of human augmentation and the drugs needed to combat rejection by most of the subjects. If our species chooses to undergo cybernetic enhancement, there's bound to be issues with the first generation of implants. Our bodies don't…
You get the OS for free when you buy the computer. When a new OS comes out a year later, you pay for the new OS. Am I missing something?
Since when is a new operating system supposed to be completely free?
BTW, check out this funny texting exchange between Shaw and an Engineer — it sums up this whole mess brilliantly:
They would have had to come back to check on our progress (which would have to imply the seeding was deliberate, or else how would they know to come back?) and pointed out the stars in the map.
Oh, so you're saying the first Engineer was just committing suicide, and his DNA got mixed into the water? I suppose that's a possible reason why the Engineers might want to kill us, like maybe our evolution was a mistake. In that case, no the cave paintings don't make any sense; they would have had to come back at…
I had a lot of problems with this movie, but I want to talk specifically about the alien creatures in the film (not the Engineers), and what their supposed life-cycle was.
