Exactly! The series needed to expand beyond Ripley in order to open up the universe of story possibilities, but somehow everyone got it stuck in their heads that her character had to be central to any future sequels. Alien: Resurrection only proved the point that just having Ripley in the flick would not make it good.

Arms? What about his junk? No way his real pelvis fits in there...

(*hurck*)

In my dreams, I imagine a Fox exec who has the balls to completely toss out the mythology of everything that came after ALIENS, and hiring Cameron to direct a sequel that features a grown up Newt kicking ass with cameos by Weaver and Biehn. If only...

Or he didn't like the size of the paycheck for doing a PSA (which was probably around $0)

Thats what I was referring to, I have all of those ;) I read the series up until the one that featured the two warring ALIEN tribes on the homeworld, with the company coming in to harvest the "royal jelly"

First two movies FTW. I sleep better at night pretending the rest of them never happened.

He didn't write either one of those. Fight Club was clearly a passion project, while Alien 3 was a gun-for-hire job with an awful script. Even Fincher hates the damned movie.

"Screaming Fist, Case. You've heard the name."

Yeah, I think all the "Alien Insurrection" models should be listed as "Alien: Resurrection".

That is too awesome! Tyler Stout's posters for the Alamo are incredible, you can check more of his work here: [www.tstout.com]

"Gordon's ALIVE?"

You asserted EXACTLY that. I've re-read your comment – have you? Perhaps your intentions did not come across with your words, so maybe you'd like a chance to redeem yourself by clarifying your comments. It's pretty clear from the responses here that what you wrote was considered offensive.

"Everyone has to bow down and admit that heterosexual relationships are the only way to be 'really' happy. Even basically tolerant people believe this, even if they're lying to themselves about that aspect of themselves. "

Everything you just said is complete, utter bull$shit.

Man, I hate it when I'm old and I have a problem drinking.

No Appleseed? Where's Deunan and Briareros?

It's a glamour shot. I'm sure she won't look so radiant and airbrushed in the film, especially after a few days of exposure, near-starvation and battle scars.

You wouldn't recommend a film you haven't even seen yet? How does that work, exactly?

What happened to the Ben and Locke buddy cop show we were promised?
