For them to act more like ROBOTS and not minstrel-y, racist caricatures.

Uh, check your spelling there...

Wow, they shot in on FILM.

So it really is just a music video? I saw this on IMDB yesterday but I couldn't figure out if it was a real trailer for a longer film, or another "Grindhouse" spoof trailer, or what...

That was the cover image of an illustrated book called MECHANISMO I think (got it on my shelf somewhere). It collected a lot of these 70s scifi images — including the spaceport one above — and tried to weave a coherent storyline through them all.

@Bill-Lee: do we have to send in Flag Points for that?

Wow. You almost had me... until that craptastic 'rock' music kicked in. Are they going for "Spartacus" or "One Tree Hill"?

So, Gundam Wing rendered with 90's era CGI?

@stomper65: well, spandex does present some obvious issues. Like, if your actor has been hanging out at Taco Bell too much.

@Honu Harry: hear hear. I was always ticked that they portrayed Iceman and Angel as teenagers; they had no foresight into making any prequels and sticking to established canon. Of course, it's pretty typical that they jettison the canon in order to make whatever story they want...

My vote is for a different scene in Swordfish, where Jackman stays up all night to build the mother of all virus codebreakers (or whatever) while the techno music blasts "50,000 watts of FUNK!"

@dry-roasted-peanuts: and then one of the drowns, and jakesulley brings them back to life by giving CPR then slapping their face and calling them a bitch.

@crosis101: Don't forget the craptastic ALIENS toys that did come out right after the movies release. Especially APONE with his fly backwards baseball cap and RIPLEY with her jaunty scarf!

Sounds interesting - in theory. But I didn't think "Gene Generation" was very good so I'm not a fan of this guys work. Willing to be proven wrong though...

Anybody know if the other images (besides 1942 and 2011) are real, or at least based on reported incidents?

ALIEN eggs: A Dharma food drop gone horribly awry.

@icy_one: I know. Nobody pays attention anymore.
