@Becky Gies: I was waiting for the last-minute twist, that Cobb had been dreaming all along and that his wife was right, and he would need to finally commit suicide to "wake up." They seemed to be hinting at that with the last shot, but it seems Nolan wanted to wrap things up a little more conventionally.

Here's my beef with fan films: as impressive as they are, they get you nowhere. Sure, you impress your fellow fans and maybe win some awards at film festivals, and if that's the ultimate goal then fine. And they look good on your reel if they're done well. But breaking into Hollywood? Proving yourself to the studio…

@ablative: I gently apply pressure against a bulb, usually with the side of a chef's knife. It cracks the husk of the garlic and you can usually remove it in one go if you do it right.
