Right? This take doesn’t even make sense. “I bet these guys got stung by bad PR so they purposefully created even more bad PR in order to prevent themselves from getting bad PR.”

Oh give me a fucking break. Why does every single mishap bring out the tinfoil hat knobs.
I was under the impression that the only thing Nomura added was his designs?
PS5/PS4 as well.
it’s also coming to playstation
I never understood the hate the movie got. It was genuinely a very good sci-fi movie. A bit of a Pocahontas retelling sure, but still very good. And honestly, the game looks good as well. If it can capture the same wonder the movie did, I’m all for it.
...god damn. That sounds... at least passably interesting, which is huge for a Ubisoft game for me!
“In this new, standalone story, play as a Na’vi and embark on a journey across the Western Frontier, a never-before-seen part of Pandora,” Ubisoft said in a press release. “Explore a living and reactive world inhabited by unique creatures and new characters, and push back the formidable RDA forces that threaten it.”
So, I really liked Avatar. It’s plot was recycled and easy to predict, but the world building went beyond what I would have ever expected and, despite not watching it in years, I still remember most scenes pretty vividly, which isn’t something I can say for most things I watch.
This is on Snowdrop. Far Cry is on its own engine (Dunia). What you’re proposing is a technically not possible, if by “skin” you mean taking one game and (mostly) just changing the art assets.
me three
“Avatar” is one of my favorite movies of all time. Sure, it’s rich on tropes, but it’s also very well told and feels genuine. I watch movies mainly for the immersion, the atmosphere, emotion and the visuals and not so much for a super complex narration. I’ve seen “Avatar” four times in cinemas alone and while I was…
Hey, I love that movie and will be first in line for #2! There are DOZENS OF US! DOZENS!
...interesting.
Have we met?
It feels good to be the only person in the world who still cares about James Cameron’s Avatar
Return to Pandora in a brand-new game from Ubisoft Massive
I cry myself to sleep every time I think of Jak & Daxter... At least we got The Last of Us out of their demise though.
Also Jak makes an appearance in Rift Apart 😉
I need more of these games. Mario is great, but at some point you still get tired of Mario this and Mario that.
It's biggest competition is Astrobot.
