For now.
For now.
I wouldn’t write it off completely. Remember, EA Play is already on PSN. I think Sony would allow GP on PSN if:
💯
Yeah, I was surprised to see that different weapons actually eject different casings when firing in first person. The first time I got yeeted off a plateau by launcher back-blast I just started cackling. I particularly like the way they handle movement and accuracy - the ways firing while moving, stationary, crouching…
Meanwhile, over on Xbox, its crusty af. It’s insane how overconfident MS was with their software lineup, especially after getting absolutely smacked in the previous gen. I can’t even recall the last Xbox exclusive title that made headlines (no not THAT game) in a good/fun way.
The amount of detail is astonishing, too. Like it’s a silly game about dying in silly ways, it’s satire, but it’s also a very tactile, realistic milsim too. It has staged reloads (each part of the reload is a separate, interruptible action that can be resumed from that point after, say, a dive—like you can fling away…
That’s worse than yellow. Yellow is clearly something artificial that the developers added. White looks like bird shit.
Technical issues aside, I cannot adequately express how good this game is. The interplay between all the different systems and abilities and cooperative mechanics makes it an absolute blast from the moment you drop into a fight to the moment you extract.
This is an absolute slam dunk if you are a fan of Deep Rock…
Early in Dark souls there’s a red ladder and it’s still almost invisible. Yellow might be out of place, but not as annoying as the absence of it.
Thank you for correcting the article soldier! FREEDOM HAS BEEN ACHIEVED!
Helldivers 2 is everything I was hoping it would be, aside from the launch woes. Managed to sink 21 hours over launch weekend and I’m pumped to keep spreading Democracy!
Yep server issues and busted matchmaking are my only real gripe. Game’s a great approach to adapting the first game into a more mainstream genre. The other minor issue being that any time you load into a game you get little cutscenes of your character that last just a few seconds too long and they can’t be skipped.
What is this “New Earth” you speak of citizen?
Watched a mate play it the other day, and I must say, it’s very much piqued my interest. I had completely ignored it, as the first Helldivers was really not my cup of tea. However, seeing 2 and the fact it seems to have gotten almost a Risk of Rain treatment (the same overall game but from a literally different angle)…
I got a completely opposite read of everything suggested in this article. I think the interviewer’s comment was a bit offensive, as that line has been suggested to have been read in a monotone by so many (and to be silly scripting). But, she’s correct… how can anybody truly know anything by a line taken out of context.
I just want proper physical releases.
I preferred Horizon both times — especially this time.
Maybe From should stop releasing Dark Souls but bigger now with 200% more reused bosses and enemies.
They sold over 20 million copies of the first one which puts it on top 50 lists of best selling games of all time, so apparently they are doing something right.
Large portions of this review sound like sorry attempts to sell FromSoftware’s usual jank as genius game design.
