On the one hand, as a rational adult, I can appreciate why not even doing the bare minimum of effort would be galling for people interested in the game, especially when it costs $40. The lack of mouse support for menus in particular seems dumb.
The missing resolution options suck, there’s no excuse. But for keyboard support, I have to say, that doesn’t bother me too much. It bothers me much more when games that should clearly support controllers don’t support them, or don’t support them well.
I’m always a bit iffy about PC ports of Japanese consoles games, they’re usually a bit on the rough side.
I have no clue how mouse and keyboard controls would even work for a game like this. Also the resolution settings being outside the game was super common 10 years ago. Hopefully the console versions are still decent
Ah, my mistake, I didn’t realize that “maybe ever” had such a short shelf life.
Have you forgotten the 2000's? We’ve had PC ports with literally no options or adjustable resolution.
I ordered physical copies of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection (via Play-Asia).
Shit, I wasn’t watching the calendar and didn’t realize Intergrade AND Rift Apart were the same week.
Excited for Intergrade dlc, Ninja Gaiden collection and Rift Apart. Too much stuff this week lol
Miyamoto is why Mario and Link easily made the jump to 3D - defining their respective genres while they were at it - While Sonic is still floundering around it decades after the Sega Saturn launched.

Balan really has that early late 90's, early 2000's Sega vibe in that they haven’t figured out how to do 3D platformers. In that sense it’s a textbook Yuji Naka game.
I would dare say that his best days are behind him and giving him $$$$$$ and full creative control without restraint is going to result in something lukewarm at best.
It feels like Yuji Naka is trying to make a game similar to his Sega days, but he is stuck in a rut. I don’t recall any of his games after leaving Sega having critical or commercial success.
Sucks that he lost his job one way or another, but he was given carte-blanche to make the game he wanted and shit in the middle of the floor. Can’t say I’m really surprised.
I suspect you and I have extremely different ideas of what the government should do. In this case, I think the government should protect the consumer rather than the company. In most game-specific cases the product was available to the broader public and now is inaccessible, which is different from one-edition art…
I don’t know why everyone harps on the Uncharted gunplay, it’s probably some of the best 3rd person gunplay out there.
Complete horseshit. I wish anybody in government cared enough to force these companies to allow their art to be preserved in public in some way or shape.
The latest victims of these murderous antics are many of the Need For Speeds released between 2006 and 2011.
