I’m actually okay with this. The game is fun enough to pop on here and again for a few matches. So at least it won’t die completely. It was never going to set the world on fire.

All. Art. Is. Inherently. Political.

just to give a full range of experience here I’ll add that I HATED BotW and LOVED HZD

And above all- it looks fucking incredible.

I love HZD, less so BotW. I also hope they don’t do the same thing again and release them so close to each other.

I am all for the evolutions in gameplay here. Still looks like we are at the mercy of yellow marked things to traverse more interestingly, however that looks expanded at least. Focus on underwater development now that we are on a coastal location is great.

Looks greats but that soundtrack is fucking phenomenal.

Hopefully you can learn to drop any release date expectations at all. Fans really need to change how they approach those and stop asking for release dates.

Looks a lot better (visually) than I was expecting, seeing as it’s on PS4 as well. It’s going to be really interesting to see what they do to get this thing running on that ancient hardware. The level of detail in the environment is off the charts—easily the new standard for open world games.

Might have been the best underwater video game hair I’ve ever seen. Looked pretty darn amazing overall. Ashly Burch is still great also.

But yeah, to not even get a release window, i.e. “Fall 2021" or something might be a tad concerning to some. Not sure, but either way, I’m excited.

It is a common myth that Windows 10 does not need to defrag a harddrive. It is correct that it does this by itself when the system is idle (that’s why you can see HDD activity when nothing else is running), but that doesn’t mean that it is not necessary like on a SSD.

The thing about the database rebuild on PS4 was new

I did a full wipe on my PS4 Pro and installed an SSD when cyberpunk released. Load times were marginally better, but it actually crashed more.

I figured worst case scenario I buy it for the same price again. Glad I went for it based on what’s happened since then.

I’m *starting* to regret not getting the refund during the offer period. Currently it’s $55 wasted on an almost cool boondoggle of a game that gave money to video game executives that laugh at me, or capitol for CDPR to keep going and fix their stink to make something great.

Surprised this article sounds so on board with this when only a few weeks ago you were suggesting such an outcome “would risk reinforcing the long-held societal idea that women’s bodies are inherently sexual. Worse, Twitch would ultimately be in charge of enforcing what is sexual and what is not”

Prairie madness was legit a thing back in the day. And looking at how that crowd votes, still is.

Plenty of games cost $70 or more in the 80’s and 90’s. And that was before current inflation. People forget that AAA games have gotten more expensive to make. I remember when FF7 was being lauded for being the most expensive game ever made with a $45 million budget. The marketing campaign cost $100 million alone. The
