Back in the day, we could buy a 3DS XL with that kind of money!

I’m wondering if this will be a limited run. Then I can pick it up in 2 years when it’s dirt cheap like I did with the pro guitar for rock band 3.

This guy can afford to rent an apartment. He’s well off. Nobody’s going to touch him.
Meanwhile, the numerous San Francisco residents actually living in vans because they can’t afford to live anywhere else due to Google employees are constantly harassed.

That article doesn’t even come close to condemning the costumes, it’s 90% about what other people think. If your argument is that “people think the stuff in Fatal Frame is weird and unnecessary,” you have a problem with the people who think the stuff in Fatal Frame is weird and unnecessary!

The $10,000 that the box truck cost could get him into a nice RV complete with toilet, shower, and kitchen. Seems like he’s just going this route for notoriety unless I’m missing something.

Not sure you can blame this on the non-existent “Internet police” when this was an internal decision made with zero publicity before it happened.

Companies voluntarily altering their own products isn’t censorship.

The scantily clad stuff is in the games in Japan because it makes them sell. The scantily clad stuff is removed for North America because it makes it not sell. It’s an economic decision, not a art/ethics decision; so it is not censorship, it’s just business.

Cool, these costumes seemed incredibly out-of-place to me. It’s good to see they’ve at least replaced them with costumes that will be fun for a wider audience.

I mean, it’s definitely censorship. These costumes were clearly integral to the narrative arc and thematic undercurrents of the game. Removing them compromises their artistic statement and the message contained within them. How am I even supposed to get scared now?

Turns out Square Enix’s Project Setsunaannounced at E3 this year—is an old-school JRPG. Looks great. Almost Chrono Trigger-ish? And that music! I’ll take it.

Yeah, something wrong with that story, unless it was an open wound(because, infection), i do not see how could they deny him access to a public pool for having a scar.

This is so ridiculous that it feels reactionary, rather than just tone-deaf, to the current discourse... but it’s Capcom so it’s definitely just tone-deaf.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to the PS4 next year in Japan. The PS4 version will be playable at next month’s Tokyo Game Show. The game was first released in Japan on PC back in 2012.

I even get creeped out when I think about the Police Officers watching to review the evidence, given their penchant for racism/sexism already. The fact that the charges against Roy are so small, when what he has done is clearly so awful and violating, only increases the creeped out feelings.

Here’s the debut trailer for Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky, the new JRPG from Tri-Ace and Spike Chunsoft. For more on this title, check Kotaku’s previous coverage.

Good luck with that. The PS4 is selling extremely well. There’s no reason for retailers or Sony to offer any sales. The XB1 has been struggling in the marketplace, on the other hand.

That’s enough XBone bundles. Can we get a PS4 one again please? Powers that be?

Dramatic changes especially to the battle system sound perfectly fine to me. The story is the place where they shouldn’t change too much, except maybe for the mid-game pacing. A fresh take on a classic is exactly what SE needs to deliver or most people will secretly go “meh” while laudating the effort to modernize.
