I don’t think you understand elementary statistics. Those over 10,000 units are a significant sample from the same manufacturing bunch as the others. If it were 20 units, sure, you'd have a point.

There is no reason to feel bad for early PS4 owners. It's a lovely console with a historically low failure rate, coupled with a good warranty for those less than .4%.

The PS4 launch is the best of any gaming hardware in history, by a long shot. And it's not out in Europe, Japan, Australia, Latin America, etc. yet.

These are North American sales only.

They actually already over-covered it. It's a failure rate so dramatically low as to set a new record of its own. The Wii's failure rate was many times higher, shocking as that may sound.

I've found my PS4 a lot cooler/quieter than my PS3/360. I was initially concerned that they'd pushed the design too far, but it seems pretty remarkable. Great engineering. The console directs heat well.
