Rather than continue to push games forward graphically, I'd be more interested in developers innovating in other areas. I'm willing to sacrifice being able to see my perfect, realtime reflection in rippling water with HDR lighting for some really groundbreaking gameplay or writing.

My first game on PC (other than Amiga games growing up) was Age of Empires. I was barely 10 when it came out, and I daresay that I could kick some pretty serious ass on the MSN Gaming Zone.

I remember playing this game on Amiga. I was like 7 at the time, and it was hard as hell.

I read through the description of this post on the mainpage three times, and I still have no idea what the words mean:
