I think the music was one of the stronger elements earlier on when it was kind of something that happened on the side, but it’s become a required element of the show since then. I couldn’t get into Central Park at all because it felt like the Bob’s team leaning into their worst habits. (Four songs in one episode?)

I often wonder what percentage of the Sparrow cult defending his every action spent thousands of dollars on a Captain Jack costume in the early 2000s and are just mad that people won’t like the costume anymore.

Amber Heard is the poster child of misogynist rage. When will these Jack Sparrow cultists grow up??

I don’t doubt women are capable of such fucking awful abuse as what you described, but I was referring to the reflexive and visceral anger his fans show when you even suggest he might have done anything wrong, not necessarily because they are abuse victims (though I’m sure some are and are also triggered by her

No. Words mean things. And “They’re both abusers” is literally not a thing. That’s not how abuse works. Abuse is a dynamic in which a power imbalance is inherent. That’s why an adult hitting a child is abusive and a child hitting an adult is not.

I didn’t look into this case at all, thinking it was just a sideshow, till my coworkers starting talking virulently about Heard as this clownish abuser. Looking into it after that was insane: the anti-Heard Twitter bot armies (which are very clear on Twitter); the manipulation of out-of-context audio and video to use

It would be nice to not be the butt end of a joke for at least one Netflix comedy special while my state desperately tries to make me not real.  It gets a little tiring.

This Twinja user is using your article’s comments to spread hateful speech

You and I both know that he doesn’t support trans rights - based on your opinions elsewhere in this comment section, you wouldn’t be arguing for him so vociferously if you thought he did. Yes, people often make jokes about things they don’t personally believe, but if Gervais really did believe in trans rights, he

based on my rather alarming interactions with the Depp stans, I think they should have dug deeper into that response that Heard’s name triggered, because I can’t help thinking the blind ferocity of his stans probably made the overall reaction appear worse than maybe it was. I don’t care that much for either of them

Johnny Depp blames his problems on “cancel culture.” so there you have it. Definitely something a credible person would say

Sure Jan...

She is on tape admitting to hitting him to stop him drunkenly crushing her toes against a door. Wow. How abusive of her. And oh shit, she hasn’t been able to give that money to charity amid being sued repeatedly by her ex. I forgot that defending yourself in multiple libel and defamation trials is totally free!

I like Bob’s Burgers. Unlike a show like Family Guy (which I also like), Bob’s Burgers is never cruel or mean spirited in it’s comedy. It’s comedic situations were absurd, but always grounded in reality.

Whoa, they recast Mickey?

Hahahahah yeah, this is just transparent. This tweet is also from yesterday. This man is an idiot.

Well, that explains this tweet from yesterday, which is just transparently an attempt to get out in front of something.

So, this is what the CW still has getting new episodes once the current seasons are done in a few weeks, or will be brand new series:

Bit odd to hang the blame on Amazon, while in the same breath pointing out how WalMart and Target out-positioned them in the market place.

The accounts are incorrect, given the guy who wrote Darmok amongst many other episodes of TNG-era Trek wrote for the first two years of Discovery, and another writer on the show was the main Voyager novelist for years, and she went on to be co-creator and an executive producer on Picard.
