We empathize with Mr. Huang’s family, who are understandably facing loss and grief, but the false impression that Autopilot is unsafe will cause harm to others on the road. NHTSA found that even the early version of Tesla Autopilot resulted in 40% fewer crashes and it has improved substantially since then. The reason

Regardless or not of the fault (or not) of the driver - can we all agree Tesla needs to change the name of “Autopilot”? It is entirely misleading - and lacks the required sensors to anything close to “actual” autopilot.

Did I say I was blaming Tesla? No, I said their comment about them saying that the false impression of their Autopilot being unsafe will cause harm to others on the road. Meaning they are saying it IS safe. If it was truly safe, no one would have died thus far to it not working correctly.

As I said, I’d have sided

Let’s see we’ve got this great autopilot feature but you have to always keep your hands on the wheel. That sounds like a load of BS. That said both Tesla and the driver share responsibility.

Do you have any positions open for latex salespeople?

Tesla apologists always go to the same refrains:

Quote: We empathize with Mr. Huang’s family, who are understandably facing loss and grief, but the false impression that Autopilot is unsafe will cause harm to others on the road.

I’m sorry, but I find this to be bullshit. If people believe that Autopilot is unsafe, they’re more likely to continue paying attention

I have an idea.

Start using LiDar, Tesla. Or call it what it is. Lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

Stop.

I get you. I may consider it sleeping with the enemy, but if MAYBE she can sway him from doing something stupid that will fuck us all, it’s in all of our best interest for her to try to change his thinking. The worst scenario is that she’s so bitter from the election that she gives him advice that results in all-out

It absolutely is. She doesn’t have the privilege of deciding not to take a call from the guy who is going to be the chief diplomat of the United States—a position she once held. The department has been dismantled over the last 15 months. If called on for advice, it is absurd that anybody would expect (let alone want)

But the larger point: Why is Clinton even taking a call from such a monstrous person?

Either there’s a review of Bob’s Burgers with a grade, or there’s no Bob’s Burgers coverage at all. That’s how it works.

Yes, that’s definitely the #1 problem with The AV Club: Too much content. Let’s drop a few of these TV recaps and make room for more of those sweet Kinja deals!

This kid is bragging about going to White House because his classmates died.

I mean, I could probably fit a bazooka in my fiberglass cello case, so I guess the moral of the story is, keep your eye on kids who play large musical instruments.
