- Star Wars has always been wildly inconsistent with travel times, especially in the old EU, but I feel like far more time passed than what was shown. Greef sent a message to the Ranger, who traveled from the Outer Rim to the Galactic Center, then traveled back to the Outer Rim to seek out the Mandos, who then went to

It sounds like at a time Marvel was busier than ever—and cracks were starting to show in the workflow, PR issues with VFX houses, less than stellar finalized productions, etc.—the person who was running much of the production was taking loads of time off to work on a personal project at another company. Seems pretty

OK Netflix, now make a AD spinoff starring Alia Shawkat.

Nice to see Alfonso Ribeiro continuing to fulfill his life’s goal of slowly taking over Tom Bergeron’s career.

Gideon the Ninth

Just as long as we don’t see any ancient Jedi temples with magic powers that extend far beyond anything ever seen in regular Star Wars stories (Filoni’s most frustrating trope), I’ll be okay.

It’s meant to be folksy, I think. The theme music seems to be the most divisive part of the show. I think it’s catchy, but I know a lot of people can’t stand it.

Is this a good place to discuss my theory that Boy Meets World takes place in a slowly collapsing, Matrix-style simulation?

No conspiracy, just a mismatch in expectations all around—from fans, Burton himself, and the producers.

We presume this means we’re still three years from a crossover that includes The Great North.

I know this is rehashing an old debate, but I just don’t think Burton was that good. He wasn’t the worst and he wasn’t the best. He was fine. I think that there is any debate at all is that it seemed like such a slam dunk on paper, with a lot of support behind it and it just didn’t work out.

Maybe the trophies are awarded for overall performance in the tournament, not for specific games, and only to qualifying teams?

I was probably too harsh, but this concept still seems way to niche for a broadcast network to order three seasons before even knowing if audiences will like the first few episodes.

Discovery took Star Trek in new directions—especially in its later seasons. I hope some of the fans who wrote it off when it was on decide to give it another chance in the future, like they did with DS9.

The show dared to shift focus away from senior officers on a Starfleet posting, by focusing on one person’s growth...

Oh man, I enjoy adult animation, but who the hell is itching for an adult animated comedy set in Ancient Greece? I assume they want this to go viral with the 12-18 segment mainly—what’s the appeal in watching a comedy that even tangentially evokes last week’s history class?

At this point, I’m surprised Dee Bradley Baker doesn’t voice Grogu. He voices a very similar character (Murf) on Star Trek: Prodigy.

Speaking of Grogu, if, at any point in these recaps, I mistakenly refer to him as “Rogu” (a different alien baby who was introduced in 2019, a year before Baby Yoda’s name was given as Grogu), I refuse to fix it. That’s my promise to you!

There are some really chud YouTubers who constantly claim that “woke” Star Wars has been a huge failure and that any day now Lucas is going to come back and take back his franchise and save it.

I suspect there are more than you realize. The Mandalorian hit it big with wider audiences in a way that the other Star Wars shows haven’t.
