I hope they address the fact that Mando’s new ship almost certainly can’t be used for bounty hunting due to its size. Is that an indication that he’s given up bounty hunting—at least temporarily—to pursue absolution for taking off his helmet?

Seconded. Watching the last three episodes also bypasses the milquetoast “well-meaning crime boss” arc and the ambitious, but awkward flashback storyline.
Usually, the “previously on” isn’t referencing a completely different show, though. While there’s a lot of overlap in audience between The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, there are going to be a bunch of people who pause at the recap, go back to the series info on Disney+, and wonder where the hell the missing…
I couldn’t tell you where I read this, but my understanding is that Michelle Yeoh took the role specifically to play Mirror Georgiou, so I don’t think she’d be interested in bringing back Prime Georgiou, except maybe for a one-off flashback.
I generally enjoyed Into Darkness, too, but it still tickles me that they hit pause on the action-filled climax to have Leonard Nimoy teleconference in and explain who Khan is to the audience.
The good news is that DeSantis has all the charisma of a room-temperature bowl of oatmeal, lacks any foreign policy bona fides, and doesn’t have Trump’s name recognition.
Beyond was pretty good, but they misstepped big time by burying Idris Elba under 50 pounds of prosthetics. Dumb Khan reveal or not, Into Darkness made a ton of money because Cumberbatch did a great “villain Sherlock” performance that the trailers could utilize.
With the way Michelle Yeoh is blowing up lately, I’m surprised there’s been no talk of turning her long-promised Discovery spinoff into a feature film. It seems incredibly unlikely that they’ll ever make the Section 31 show--she’s got to be beyond their budget at this point--and the way they left her character means…
Alex Kurtzman is in charge of the TV side and came from the JJ movies, for what it’s worth. I know Discovery and Picard have their detractors, but they were the first shows of the new batch and have gotten better over time, and Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks, and Prodigy have received a ton of praise. He’d be a…
Truth is, BoBF’s premiere had more viewers than Mando S2's finale did. BoBF’s finale had the exact same viewers as its premiere.
Well color me excited. TNG was the seminal show from my childhood, and seeing these characters—all of them—come back in what sounds like a much better sendoff is going to be fun.
One of the better theories I’ve seen is that Patrick Stewart wouldn’t have come back at all if it was just “TNG 2.0" from the start, which is probably at least partially true. He seemed pretty done with Picard for a long time.
I was pretty OK with it. Q was always overly confident in his supposed omnipotence—it makes sense that he wouldn’t see that his own existence had an end.
He did, but for some reason Disney brought him back for a Santa Clause TV series on Disney+, which was recently renewed for a second season.
Agreed. I never really liked the concept of the Borg having a specific Queen, but Wersching’s amazing performance changed my mind.
Tim Allen says he’s been cancelled—a lot—but I’ve yet to see any evidence of it.
Was this known before? I can’t find any reference to charges, allegations, or mention of an arrest before today’s articles.
Unless you’re very, very outspoken, it’s hard to gauge how much other people know/assume about your sexuality and what their reaction will be, even from supposedly “progressive” people.
As another gay person, maybe we can care about all those issues and find it newsworthy that a prominent 18-year old actor is comfortable enough with his sexuality to come out publicly.
I used to think that Pence was the biggest empty suit in U.S. politics, but even he had a little pizazz compared to McCarthy.
