@maxnichols: Probably my lack of knowledge, I'm guessing.

@PatMan33: This (Gawker at large) is the only comment community I participate in, and I do appreciate the attempts made to make it a good experience. I just worry every time the power balance shifts.

The app store can be unwieldy, but no walls means more choice, and I can appreciate that. I do wish Google would come up with better sorting and search (irony!) systems. For now, I use tech blogs (such as this one) to keep abreast of the best things being offered in general. For anything I need specifically, yes, I

At least one misunderstanding on the part of the author: Kin was not Microsoft's "smart phone" platform. It was essentially a "smart" dumb phone. It had limited capabilities as far as internet and apps goes, but had, in essence, widgets to easily manage social networking. It was for people really into facebook,

@illiniphase4: I can only assume that the game will go into multiple fret usage. The number indicates what fret is to be used, the location is which string, and the bar is where to strum. There's no reason you couldn't have a 1 a 3 and a 4 on the same line indicating using more than one fret. The person taking the

Great, so it goes from, "I have a star, so your opinion doesn't matter." to "I have a star, so I'm going to make sure your opinion doesn't ever see the light of day." I'm not talking about trolling instances. I'm talking about people with stars somehow thinking that our lack of star means they are right

This is all a moot discussion considering the original PS3's played PS2 games. There is no reason they removed that functionality except to release something like this as a grab for more of your cash. They removed that functionality before they even released the slim, so it's not a hardware space issue.

I feel sorry for the person who buys a defective one. They'll be calling the water company to complain about water gas.

@☆Giroro G66☆: It's not a 20 cent case, it's $30 dollars, according to their pricing. Best. Apple-Tax. Ever.

@Coreboy: They made enough bumpers to fill the demand of the "I will buy anything Apple makes, no matter how much they want to charge for a piece of plastic" demographic. They weren't prepared to share with the entire class.

@TRT-X: No, I completely understand your decision. I was just pointing out the logical failure in "never com[ing] back. Ever." Then wanting to come back, because they released DLC. Your definition of "Ever." needs some work. I, too, have sold games then wished I still had them.

I guess, if they want to sell to people too stubborn to figure out a digital camera (as digital things go in general, probably the easiest for the non-tech savvy), hey, go ahead.

I've hated Nokia phones since the early 00's when they released the Nokia phone that everyone owned. I didn't see what the big deal was, but everyone wanted one. I have no need for custom faceplates, and there was nothing else special about that phone. It wasn't a bad phone, as far as I know, it just didn't have

This is covered in this week's "This American Life", the podcast done by public radio with Ira Glass. If you're interested in more info, they interview the officer that made the recordings.

@apeguero: Hopefully with the advent of cloud computing, soon you won't have to sync anything ever. It'll just be there available wherever on whatever device you choose. I look forward to this, and it's already happening.

@Sasquatch: WHY. DID. YOU. CLICK?!?!?!?! If you don't want to read it, don't click on it. The picture and headline left nothing to chance as to what the article was about. I hadn't seen this, and found it funny. You need to get over the thought that this tech site pampers only to you.

The Sony Playstation is the only console I owned that I have absolutely no nostalgia for. The games just aren't memerable. I grew up on Nintendo, and it still has the franchises that create memories. Playstation 2 had Guitar Hero before it sucked and Kingdom Hearts. PC had all the Lucas Arts adventure games that I

@TRT-X: ...but now you want to go back, thus contradicting your first statement.

So, my only question is, what happens when you're playing with the asshat that can't be bothered with "teamwork" or "fair play" and just stalks your group picking up your swag. There's always that one guy that's only there to pick up stuff, and he doesn't share. Eventually you de-team him, but this will really suck

@kschang: You are wrong. Flash works just fine on the Droid 1. I'm assuming the sites you've tried to visit using it are dragging it down or something.
